She was also the spokesperson for various different brands, such as Maybelline, and several products based on her image targeting young girls (dolls, shoes, make-up) were released.
Currently, besides being a singer, Wanessa is also the ambassadress in the non-governamental organization SOS Mata Atlântica, which defends the preservation of the Atlantic Forest. Due to her hard work in promoting the NGO and its goals, and also working for the depollution of the Tietê river, in São Paulo, Wanessa was awarded in 2007 with the Pro-Social Award from Brazil's Nickelodeon channel, and later received the Personality of the Year title from the Cisesp.
Wanessa was the first Brazilian female singer to have her first two singles reach #1 in Brazil. She has also performed a duet on television with Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti during one of his promotional trips to Brazil, and her newest album Total features a duet with another Italian singer, Gigi D'Alessio, in the song Um Coração Apaixonado (Un Cuore Malato), also included in D'Alessio's Made In Italy Brazilian album edition.
After marrying the businessman Marcus Buaiz on May 26th., Wanessa kept working on her new album with Nashville producer Jason Deere and Miami producer Cesar Lemos. After many delays due to the record company, her new album, Total, was released on August 25, 2007. Its first single, Não Tô Pronta Pra Perdoar, is a version of Dixie Chicks' 2007 Grammy Award-winning song Not Ready To Make Nice, authorized by the own trio.
In March, 2008, Wanessa went to Miami to record a musical partnership with Mexican trio Camila, in a special rendition of Camila's 2006 hit song Abrázame. The partnership was included in both Camila's Todo Cambió album in its Brazilian edition and in Wanessa's Total re-release.
In April, 2008, the singer started her new national tour, named after her sixth album. Wanessa recently announced that she will begin working on her next album in December, and that she will also promote this next album in Mexico.[1] The album, scheduled to April, 2009, includes a new song featuring American rapper Ja Rule in two different versions, with Camargo singing in Portuguese in the version named "Meu Momento" and singing in English in the version named "Fly".[2] "Fly" was released as a single in Brazil in April, with "Meu Momento" added to her album as a bonus track; no word has surfaced yet about whether Ja Rule intends or not to release "Fly" in the U.S.
O Nosso Amor

Te procurei
Nos meus desertos
Sem ninguém
Eu Nunca pensei
Que eu gostasse assim de alguém
Eu te quero ainda mais
Tarde demais pra esquecer...de você
Seu beijo ainda é meu
Me diz, por favor
Que você ainda é o meu amor
Somente você
Pode ver que eu sou...oh, oh
Nunca mais me deixe assim tão só
Sem o seu amor... o meu amor
O nosso amor
Eu
Me desesperei
Morrendo de sede, de medo e de frio
Não
Eu não vou deixar
Que meu coração fique assim tão vazio
Eu te quero ainda mais
Nunca é tarde demais pra esse amor... vem pra mim
Meu sonho ainda é seu
Seu beijo ainda é meu
Me diz, por favor
Que você ainda é o meu amor
Somente você
Pode ver quem eu sou... oh, oh
Nunca mais me deixe assim tão só
Sem o seu amor... o meu amor
O nosso amor
Que ainda não acabou oh, oh
Nunca mais me deixe assim tão só
Meu amor
The lyrics of Wanessa Camargo's "O Nosso Amor" express a desperate desire to hold onto a love that has faded away. The singer has been searching for her lover in the desert of her own loneliness, and she never imagined that she could care about someone so much. The realization that it may be too late to forget about her lover is heartbreaking, and she needs them to reaffirm their love for her to ease the pain. The singer is willing to do anything to keep their love alive, to quench the thirst and fear that consumes her. The chorus is a plea for her lover to return to her and to never leave her alone again.
The song captures the emotions of being lost without someone you love and the fear of not being able to get them back. The desperation in her voice and the slow, heart-wrenching melody both add to the emotional weight of the lyrics. The repetitive chorus stresses the importance of this love in her life and how she can’t live without it. The lyrics are relatable to anyone who has known the fear of losing a significant other and the hopelessness that follows.
