1) Warlord is one of those little known bands who should have earned much more fame. Their first album "Deliver us" was published in the early '80s (1983) and it was enough, along with "And The Cannons Of Destruction Have Begun" that followed with only few more new songs, to make them a historical metal band of the early US power metal scene. The style is progressive, melodic heavy metal of exceptional inspiration and great musical talent. Standout tracks are "Winter Tears", "Child of the Damned", "Black Mass", and the monumental "Lucifer's Hammer". The vocals are very melodic which contrasts with the heavy rythym and guitar riffs. Guitar playing is very solid with technical solos. Songs are well constructed and carry a deep, strong feeling. It is a shame that they never really got the attention that they deserved. Nevertheless, their drummer, Thunder Child, made a great career-he is actually, Mark Zonder of Fates Warning. Metal fans who appreciate epic and early power scene should not miss them!
Recently, in the year 2002, Destroyer (guitarist W.Tsamis) returned with M.Zonder (drums, of course) and J.Cans (vocals) and published Warlord's "Rising Out From The Ashes". And the legendary Warlord proved again the dark power of epic metal...
2) Warlord came along in the mid to late 90's and only had two releases on Solid State Records. The first was a self titled EP containing four songs released in 1997.
The second was titled Rock The Foe Hammer and was released in 1999. They broke up shortly after the second release. Their musical style has been labeled as "doomcore".
3) Warlord is a Finnish chiptune/demoscene/metalscene artist Warlord (1997->).
4) Warlord were active in the 1970's. They were from the UK, and they played heavy doom metal with progressive and psychedelic elements. Their only official release is a self-titled compilation album from 2002.
5) Warlord is a rapper from the West Coast and rode with Death Row Records

Child Of The Damned
Warlord Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Well beyond my fears
Realized I'm synchronized
Far beyond my years
I'm so geared into them
I serve unto their souls
Now that I'm addicted
My hunger only grows
I'm a Child of the Damned
I follow where I go
Rigging to the cross
As holy as a whore!
I'm just a child of the damned
Witches' coven the time is come
For those sabbatical years
Revelation is the message
For all in all to hear
Prophets slayed mankind arrayed
Into a mass submission
Evil's here and the lord of hell
Gives you the proposition!
I'm a Child of the Damned
I follow where I go
Rigging to the cross
As holy as a whore!
I'm just a child of the damned
Give away your life's goals
Your meaning and ambition
It means nothing to you
After all it's superstition!
Do not be afraid
The world is near the end
Is it better to rule in hell,
Than it is to serve in heaven?
I'm a Child of the Damned
I follow where I go
Rigging to the cross
As holy as a whore!
I'm just a child of the damned
The lyrics to Warlord's song "Child of the Damned" depict a person who has been enlightened to the ways of evil and is fully embracing it. The opening lines suggest that this person has had a revelatory experience where they have seen past their fears and limitations and have embraced a darker side of themselves. They have become "synchronized" with something or someone, and are now "addicted" to this new way of being.
The chorus of the song further emphasizes this idea, with the singer stating that they are a "child of the damned" and that they will follow wherever they go, even to the point of being "rigged to the cross." The second verse references satanic rituals, prophecies, and the idea of evil being a force that can overcome humanity. The final lines of the song pose a question: is it better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven?
Overall, the lyrics of "Child of the Damned" paint a picture of someone who has been seduced by the idea of darkness and is willingly joining forces with it. The lyrics are meant to be provocative and challenge traditional notions of good and evil.
