1) We The People were a mid 1960s garage group from Florida, releasing several singles (compiled on a double CD by the Sundazed label) and composing the track "In The Past", later covered by the Chocolate Watch Band. Guitarist/Songwriter Tom Talton went on to play with the Allman Brothers in the 1970's.
2) We the People formed in the winter/spring of 2003 in Syracuse, New York. Started off as an "oi" project of the members (most of who were and are in other bands). Played their first show on May 10, 2003 at Planet 505 on Westcott Street in Syracuse. Released a four song live demo of the show shortly there after, followed up by their first official demo, recorded by Greg Pier at Neon Witch studios. Continued playing shows garnering a lot of attention and buzz in the Syracuse hardcore scene and its periphery.
We the People underwent a lineup change when original guitarist Jon Peters relocated to Boston and was replaced by Jon Davies. We the People soon went on a brief hiatus after all its members with the exception of vocalist Chuck Hickey left the Syracuse area for New York City, Hoboken, and Philadelphia, among other destinations. In 2004, the band began playing and practicing again once four out of five members found themselves living again in the same city, this time New York. Shows soon followed when they were possible, and a second demo, the four song The Death of Life was released in December 2005. We the People then recorded another four songs at Banger Studios in Brooklyn in 2006, releasing them along with the Death of Life demo at an eight song CD in August that year and touring the northeast to support it.
We the People play a unique blend of oi, hardcore, punk, with a post-hardcore sense and feel. Singer Chuck Hickey's vocals are brutal and in your face, in line with Tesco Vee of the Meatmen and Choke of Slapshot. We the People share band members with Black S.S., Prisoner, Bad Cops, The NoJons, Bayonet U.K., The Funeral, and probably a few others.
We the People is:
Chuck Hickey, vocals
Jon Davies, Guitar
Chris Swisher, Guitar
Andy Williams, Bass
Jim Heffernan, Drums
3) We The People is a four-piece Indie/Pop/Rock/Alternative band from Melbourne, Australia, and was formed in 2010.

What a pretty smile
But you can't hide nothin', girl
And I will tell you why
It's your eyes
It's your looks
It's your... face
They're the mirror of your mind
You can try a long, long time
But you can't hide
Don't forget to remember
I been kind to you
Please give me help and
Let me love you too
It's your eyes
It's those looks
It's that face
They're the mirror of your mind
They're the mirror of your mind
You can try a long, long time
But you can't hide
They're reflectin' all the little things
That you been thinkin' about
You're lettin' all your little secrets just, just
Slip on out... out, out
They're the mirror of your mind
They're the mirror of your mind
You can try a long, long time
But you can't hide
Don't forget to remember
I been kind to you
Please give me help and
Let me love you too
It's your eyes
It's those looks
It's that face
They're the mirror of your mind
They're the mirror of your mind
You can try a long, long time
But you can't hide
In "Mirror of Your Mind," We the People sing about the fact that even though someone might have a pretty face and a pretty smile, they can't hide what they're thinking about. The singer tells the subject that their eyes, looks, and face are mirrors of their mind, and they can't hide their thoughts from the world. The singer also reminds the subject that they have been kind to them and asks for help in return in the form of love.
The song is essentially warning the subject that they can't hide their true thoughts and emotions, and that others will be able to see through any attempts to do so. Rather than putting up a facade, the singer encourages honesty and vulnerability.

This is dynamite. Such a frenzied performance! It's so close to falling completely apart into musical chaos, but never does. 60s rock at its most exciting.

That's so fitting, this song is just explosive. These guys have a unique and powerful sound. Check out their track called ' In The Past' which is equally amazing.

A masterpiece! I stumbled across this in the 1970s, and ever since, it's been the standard by which I judge 60s hard-edged rock and roll bands. Thanks to the members of We The People. Your music will never die. It still sends a chill up my spine and is the ultimate rave-up.
