Born Sannie Charlotte Carlson in Skælskør, Denmark on 11 April 1970, she spent several years in Africa as a child before returning to her native country. She rose to prominence when her single "Saturday Night" became the summer smash hit of 1994, thanks to extensive play in the clubs of the Mediterranean and the fact that it had a dance which many found easy to learn. She became the first ever non-UK artist to début at No.1 in their first week in the UK Singles Chart. Her music was also very successful in Brazil, Canada, Australia, France and the Nordic countries during the 1994 eurodance phenomenon.
However the only place where she has yet to achieve success, and has eluded her since, is the United States (Even though she placed both "Saturday Night" and "Another Day" on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1995, with "Night" peaking at #19 and "Day" coming in at #21, respectively).
Later singles include "Think of You", "Close To You", "Last Christmas", "Gimme Gimme" and "Sexy Eyes".
Last Whigfield's album was "All In One" In which all the songs were chosen by the fans.
All tracks have been re-sung, re-mixed, and re-edited.
The album features two bonus tracks that have never been recorded by Whigfield before, "right in the night - cover" and a completely new whigfield song "Rainbow".
At the moment Whigfield is recording new album. This album will be produced by Pochill, while Whigfield has released new single No doubt.

Deeper and deeper
I'm sinking right inside of you
Sweeter and sweeter
I'd die for you
Stronger and stronger
Longer and longer
Your sweet caress
Aah aah don't walk away
Aah aah don't walk away
Deeper and deeper
I'm sinking right inside of you
It's getting sweeter
I'd die for you - no no no no
Aah aah don't walk away -
Don't walk away yeah
Aah aah don't walk away
Aah aah don't walk away...
The song "Don't Walk Away" by Whigfield is a romantic ode to the intense longing and desire that comes with falling in love. The lyrics speak to the singer's need to be close to their lover, with the repetition of the lines "deeper and deeper, I'm sinking right inside of you, sweeter and sweeter, I'd die for you." The singer is consumed by their love, wanting to be closer and closer physically and emotionally to their partner.
The chorus repeats the pleading refrain of "aah aah don't walk away," reflecting the fear and desperation of the singer in losing their love. The repetition of this line emphasizes the urgency and intensity of the singer's emotions. The bridge of the song repeats the same sentiments, reinforcing the central message that the singer cannot bear the thought of their love leaving them.
Overall, "Don't Walk Away" is a passionate and intense declaration of love that captures the whirlwind of emotions that come with falling deeply in love.

I loved listening to this one and other Whigfield's songs on my cassette player as a young teen (12-13 years old). I don't know how much exactly the group is famous in my country, Bulgaria - probably not too much... but I love it! So meaningful and melodious.
