Whispertown2000 Lyrics

Will the night be long?
When I'm 103, will still you like me when my body is gone?
When I'm 104
No going out doors
No rich and no poor
Not making a sound
Will you turn my frown upside down?
When I'm 105, will the trees be alive?
Will the ocean be cold?
When I'm 106, will we pass in a fix
Or will we still be sick and old?
When I'm 107, will hellfire leaven
No gateway heaven
When I'm 111, will you still know me when my body is gone?
When we're ashes to dust
No love, lover, lust
No pack up and leave in your pick up truck
Without the need is the greed, and all the trouble we see
Will you recognize me when I'm 103?
When I'm 110, no planet to tread
No nothin', everything is dead
When I'm 103, will I still be me when my body is gone?
The lyrics of Whispertown2000's song 103 revolve around mortality, aging, and the inevitable end of life. The singer poses a series of questions to their loved one, asking if they will still care for and remember them as they grow old, become ill, and eventually pass away. The motif of time is present throughout the song, with the singer asking about the sky, the night, the trees, and the ocean. The last stanza portrays a bleak and desolate future where everything is dead, leaving the listener with a sense of finality and emptiness.
The lyrics of the song are introspective and thought-provoking, addressing universal themes that everyone can relate to. The use of rhetorical questions and repetition creates a sense of urgency and poignancy, emphasizing the fleeting nature of life and the importance of cherishing the people we love. The song's melancholic tone and slow tempo, coupled with the raw and vulnerable vocals of the singer, evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing, making it a poignant and emotionally resonant piece.
