1) Wild Silk was a German band playing mainly celtic music. They were founded in 1994 and consisted of the 4 musicians: Berk Demiray, Rainer Burgmer, Matthias Kohlmann and Simone Freimueller. They divided at the end of 2001.
Simone, Berk and Rainer went on to play in the band Dhalia's Lane (formerly known as Dhalia), which can be seen as a "follow-up" to Wild Silk.
2) Wild Silk released a single in January 1969 in the UK featuring a song "Toymaker", credited to Ray Davies of the Kinks. The song is popsyke in style and was issued under the group name "Basil" in the US.

Hallo, ich hatte Rainer Burgmer mal nach Simone gefragt, ist aber auch schon bestimmt 5-6 Jahre her, er sagte sie lebe in Bodensee--Nähe und habe ein Kind bekommen, ob sie jetzt noch singt, ist leider nicht bekannt. Aber Rainer + Berk Demirbay spielen bei Dhalia´s Lane. Hört sich fast genau so an wie Wild Silk !

@Silencerunning Bei Amazon müsste man die Alben noch bekommen, da habe ich meine auch gekauft, allerdings ist das nun auch schon wieder ca. 5 Jahre her. Das 3. Album werde ich aber auch noch hochladen ;-) Leider habe ich Wild Silk nie live gesehen, eine Freundin, die sie einige Male live erlebt hatte, hat mich auf die Gruppe gebracht.

@Stefanie Prochazka ursprünglich ist es ein altes Volkslied : Varvindar Friska . Im deutschen gibt es auch ein Fahrtenlief auf die Melodie : Kiefern im Wind / Schilf bleicht
