Wine's aura is distinctively English. Winer sticks to melancholy, shoe-gazing pop which has always been more of a British phenomenon.
Kinks were the first and, probably, the greatest Winer's influence. And His Nasal Majesty Ray Davies still remains some kind of a Godfather for Winer.
Poetically Alex Winer continues traditions of so-called "Miserable Rock", established as a style by Steven Patrick Morrissey. Less pretentious and definitely uglier than his inspirer, Winer seems to be more adequate to the story of an ugly boy next door no girl or a boy would kiss. "Morrissey has taught me to avoid writing lyrics in a usual pop way" - says Winer.
Despite his manic tendency to absorb the ideas of the past, Winer and his music could be hardly classified. Outward simplicity turns into a trap. Going deeper one reveals a number of internal disguised levels, a maze of ambiguities and turned-over quotations. A frightening journey through the jungle of a human being's inner world turns into self-irony, water turns into wine. Vice Versa.
The seething whirl where britpop, Flower Power, Trip-Hop and Big Beat merge. A cool mix of emotions and styles where all feelings are equal, but the only one predominates. This is Love. And in love all contradictions dissolve and disappear.

@Noah Barb "so because I disagree with you on some aspects of a TV show “that has not released yet”, it warrants insults to my character?" - Dullard, we didn't disagree on literally any aspect of the show that has not been released. Your stupidity is only matched by how much you've been triggered by this exchange. The only thing we've talked about is how these are different mediums, dolt. If you are insulted by accurate depictions of your character, then you might want to alter your character.
"To add, if I don’t know what misconstrue means, I’d love for you to provide the definition. The way in which I used it was appropriate. " - Misconstrue - interpret (something, especially a person's words or actions) wrongly.
That literally had no contextual basis for anything I'd said about your comment, duncecap. So, no, it wasn't 'appropriate', moron. It was used incorrectly because I never claimed you interpreted or misinterpreted anything.
"" but also insults as to what you “believe” to be grammatical errors. - Believe? Let's have a look:
You: ' how dare people want a book adaptation to be faithful to those books! Lol, dude seriously?'
Corrections: (H capitalized)how dare people want a book adaptation to be faithful to those books(? mark, not exclamation)! Lol (is not a word and what it stands for would necessarily be it's own sentence and not followed by a comma), (D capitalized)dude(, comma) seriously?
So, yeah.
"They have plenty of their own errors." - But I'm not being pretentious about writing or adaptations like you, simpleton.
"Usually aspects of language learned in elementary school." - Elucidate. Be specific.
Lol
Pray, tell me Friend!
Book Morraine:
Completely dwarfed by her warder due to her short stature, making up for it with a calm, steady gaze that betrays a strong backbone and mystical wisdom. Always has her hair up. Basically tidy Yoda
Show Morraine: Tall af, very imposing. Always looks upset about something. Always has her hair down like she’s just tired of it all.
Sure, maybe she is tired. But she’s had decades to develop her calm demeanor with magic; it could be better represented.
Just felt weird that The Witcher had a better Morraine in the form of Tissaia the Headmaster. But I’ll give it a chance with their choices for Lan.
Lan’s great here! Very much how I pictured him and more ❤️
ThatSayYou
Rand: "I wish Perrin were here. He always knows how to talk to women."
Perrin: " I'm literally standing right next to you."
David M.
Lol...apparently since he's married... Then killed his wife.
The show sucks. Rafe is a joke
Vince LaRue
@Shaun Croucher and they recast him for season 2
Lou Phelan
@DoubleJon I'm fairly certain there was some braid tugging as well.

Ian Williams
@DoubleJon tugs their braid.
