Wire Train released three records for 415/CBS; In A Chamber, Between Two Words, and Ten Women. The band Recorded three CD's for MCA in the nineties; California Republic, No Soul No Strain and Snug. Only the first two MCA CD's were released.

Wire Train were a band whose music evolved from record to record at a time when artists were expected to repeat their past successes. An intense attachment exists between fans of each 'period' of Wire Train's music, with fans of each sometimes unaware of the others. Music critics often favor the bands scrappy beginnings, classic rock fans the middle 'folky' period and most musicians favor the latter experimental deconstructed pop style.

Wire Train disbanded in 1993 after MCA declined to release Snug, by far the bands finest record.
The disc was never shopped to other labels and all copies were lost until 2003 when a master DAT was found. Wire Train is Jeffrey Trott, Anders Rundblad, Brian Macleod, Kevin Hunter.

I loved these gents. I was the cinematographer on this clip and we had ourselves quite a time. The fast moving dolly shots on stage were actually me hand-holding the camera while on skates. The morning of the stage shoot my VW go stollen. I was a bit late due to talking with the constable. I got the car back six months later, sans engine. The cops charged me for storage. I couldn't afford their rates so i had to give them the pink slip. Stevie Price was directing. Rock on! MG

This is one of those rare bands that at the time combined great guitars with great songs, mostly about love so I can see why this worked magic on your relationship with your girl. My favorite is Love Love c'os I was into the nightclub party scene back in the 80s and though I had no trouble pulling hot baby dolls I could never sustain a serious relationship with them as they were just too gorgeous!! I'm 58 now and single but I still love love this album. U2, The Church, and Big Country are also on my top five 80s list.

what a great band, their music was unique, a sound so special, they gave us so many songs to sing and remember.. Where are they now? I miss it when there were bands, you know? BANDS: young people who loved music and had things to say and music to create... bloody nostalgic!

Jeff Trott who is the guitarist on the following album (Ten Women) and their remaining studio albums has been Sheryl Crow's music director and guitarist since the late 90's. Its pretty much the reason why the rest of the band has never gotten back together.

@kevinfhunter My comment wasn't meant to be taken personal. As a former music writer my "ego" comment was based on a brief meeting I had with you after a gig in LA in the late 80's. I was writing for a college paper.You came off as someone who had a chip on your shoulder which could hold back a band.While Mr. Trott seemed to be more comfortable in his skin... You/WT WERE successful artistically,just not so much in mainstream. I'm sure you're not the same "ego" driven songsmith today right?

+Chad Shepard Music was great in the mid 1980s. The best ever but you were expected to always work and fit in society and not pursue niche lifestyles and not be limited to closed circles that you were comfortable with. That kind of freedom did not come until the late 1990s.
