The first two lines of the song, "So entsteht kein Königreich, so wird es nur zerstört" (which translates to "This is not how you create a kingdom, this is only how it will be destroyed"), suggest that actions that are destructive and divisive will not lead to the formation of a successful and united community. The following line, "Und wofür kein Auge reicht, wird ein Gebet erhört" (which roughly means "And what the eye cannot see, a prayer is heard"), implies that faith and spirituality can be harnessed to overcome obstacles that are beyond human control. The song then takes a more personal turn as the singer expresses his unwillingness to conform to society's narrow expectations and his willingness to endure suffering in pursuit of a greater truth. The final lines, "Auf einmal gibt es viel zu reden und trotzdem geschieht nicht mehr, von Kainsmalen umgeben, es zu entfernen fällt uns zu schwer" (which roughly translates to "We have so much to discuss, yet nothing seems to change, surrounded by the mark of Cain, we find it hard to erase"), convey a sense of frustration that despite a growing awareness of societal issues and injustices, progress remains slow and difficult.
