Yano discovered Harakami's work in 2003 and approached him about working together. Harakami had been a fan of Yano's work for a long time and was happy to collaborate with her. The two began working together in 2004 and debuted formally as Yanokami in 2007 with a self-titled album. They concentrated mainly on live performances from 2008 to 2010, playing at both small venues and large festivals.
Harakami died of a cerebral hemorrhage in July 2011. Despite this loss, Yano announced her intention to continue Yanokami. Scheduled performances went on as planned, and their second album was released in December 2011 using what recordings Harakami had completed. Yanokami continues to perform with guest artists including U-Zhaan, Yoshinori Sunahara (砂原良徳), Illreme (イルリメ), and Maki Morishita (森下真樹).

Night Train Home -yanokami version-
Yanokami Lyrics
小窓の外 終わる世界に
雪が降ってくる
大人のように
カーテンの内 夢をひろげてる
Night train home
Night train home
敷きつめた 朝もやを溶かして進む
head light
寝台車の ベッドに横たわる
絶望と希望
Night train home
Night train home
Night train home

If you wanna roll me
Then you gotta roll me all night long
And if you wanna use me
Then you gotta use me 'til I'm gone
I'm not a fallen angel, I just fell behind
I'm out of luck and I'm out of time
If you don't wanna love me, let me go
I'm runnin' for the last train
I'm runnin' for the last train home
If you wanna know me
Then you gotta know me through and through
And if you're gonna hurt me
Then you gotta hold me next to you
No matter how you work it, things go wrong
I put my heart where it don't belong
So if you're comin' with me, let me know
Maybe you're the last train
Maybe you're the last train home
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
(Oh, yeah)
(Ooh)

No matter what happens, ultimately everything ends with minor pentatonic shredding 😅
@geralr
It just works!
@flonsdg
And we love it ☺️

@zer08914
you don't know what you're talking about...oh wait 😳
@obscureironing5751
Had a bowl of cornflakes this morning, Surely enough i was ripping into those little crispy flakes with minor pentatonic licks and a little dance

I'm 68 years old and thought I have heard it all. But this one really touched me in ways that no other has before. What an incredibly beautiful song, and the blues riff is one of the finest.

I'm with ya my man. Reminds a lot of "Prince." ei Were he still alive I could 100% see him singing performing this song. The guitar similarities are uncanny, the way on occasion you can't distinguish it from his voice (or vice versa) as they both convey so much raw emotion that's chaotic, almost pleading, but somehow still under control.
@mattmorris2867
@crzyces1 Nothing like Prince at all. What are you talking about? Lol.

Hey I'm 80 and I'm with you all the way on this. I think his best song ever is Gravity, and I've listened to various renditions of it probably a hundred times or more, but this guy is really special and this song made me tear up the first time I heard it not even halfway into it. Thanks for posting, I'm glad to know I'm not the only person into senior citizenship who thinks this guy and this rendition are bleeping AWESOME!
