akon Lyrics

Ain't no peace out in the streets
Said, ain't no peace out in the streets
Refuse to be defeated by enemies
Refuse to be mistreated by these police

'Cause ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace

Child of the ghetto, life ain't even fair
Born with an old soul, but ain't been nowhere
Seem too much than a child could bear
Searching for love when it's just not there

Ain't no peace out in the streets
Said, ain't no peace out in the streets
Refuse to be defeated by enemies
Refuse to be mistreated by these police

'Cause ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace

So why me? Lord, tell me why me
I'm just tryin', just tryin' to provide for my family
So show me that sign, for I'm so blind
And I won't know it unless you show me outside this grind

'Cause ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace
Ain't no peace

Overall Meaning

In the song "Ain't No Peace," Akon vocalizes the struggles and harsh realities of life in the ghetto. The chorus repeats the phrase "ain't no peace" seven times, emphasizing the lack of harmony and tranquility in the streets. The verses detail the life of a child born into poverty where they have seen more than they should have at such a young age, searching for love where it cannot be found. The artist then redirects his attention to the larger scale problems within society, refusing to be conquered by enemies and subjugated by the police.

The lyrics speak to the ongoing tensions and struggles that underprivileged communities often face, clashing with police and being subject to harsh systemic injustices. In many ways, this song is a plea for hope and reform, urging people to fight for peace and justice in a world where they are all too often absent.

If you are wondering what Akon is doing now, he is helping Africans with his money by providing electricity so kids can study in the evening, people can have their stores open in the night and it is much less dangerous outside. He is doing that with solar panels, this helps a lot since he employs local worker by that.
Sadly almost nobody acknowledges this, try to help by spreading and liking this comment!

@Ace Many and the country is Senegal

During a summer job in France I had the chance to make some solar panels for his Akon City project. I remember my boss sayin Akon was a real businessman, hard to get money on his back

He is also helping Blacks in America to return to Africa. Local and federal legislators should be contacted, media as well to make what he’s doing go national.
