Trying to find a way to relieve stress and anxiety and find inspiration.

Hoping that using marijuana would help him better pursue his dreams.

I wanted stories to tell
Aspiration to create a fulfilling and exciting life that he can share with others.

So welcome to my story, of how this all got started
Introducing his journey and struggles in pursuing his passion for music.

My decisions and my visions painted a massive target
His dreams and aspirations create a large and challenging goal.

They couldn't just leave it
Others didn't necessarily support his dream or understand his drive.

Yeah they had to stop it
Acknowledging that others have tried to discourage or prevent him from pursuing his dreams.

So this song is a warning telling them to watch it
Using his music as a way to push back against those who would discourage him, and encourage others to pursue their own passions.

When I was 12 I wrote a couple songs and made an album
Reflecting on his passion for music from an early age, and his early creative endeavors.

I named it trapped cause at the time that was how I was feeling
Describing the emotional state that inspired his early music, and how he was using that music as a way to express himself.

Consider this the sequel to that except this time I record it
Using this song as a continuation of his creative journey, and noting that he will now share that journey with others.
