Banging my head up against the wall
Staring at nothing cause I can't sleep at night
Can't make it stop, yeah I think too much
What do I do? Falling apart
I need a shock straight to my heart
No one would want to be in my shoes right now, oh
Straight on the rocks
But you won't see me popping the pills
Po-po-popping the pills
Cause if I want the pain to go away
In a second make it fade
You're the only thing that will
You're my medicine, medicine
My medicine, medicine
My medicine
You know you're an expert at complicating things
That's how I'm wired, believe me it's no fun
But you make the war seem like such an easy game
Keeps me and my arguments come under
Down in the trenches, you are the white flag
Make me surrender
Want you so bad
Baby don't stop what you started
Don't ever be done, oh
I always throw the bottle of whisky
Straight on the rocks
But you won't see me popping the pills
Po-po-popping the pills
Cause if I want the pain to go away
In a second make it fade
You're the only thing that will
You're my medicine, medicine
My medicine, medicine
My medicine
You make it all better, better
You make me feel home
You make it all better, better
You make me feel home
I don't reach for the bottle of whisky
No you won't see me popping the pills
Cause if I want the pain to go away
In a second make it fade
You're the only thing that will
You're my medicine, medicine
My medicine, medicine
My medicine
You make it all better, better
You make me feel home
You make it all better, better
You make me feel home
You make it all better, better
You make me feel home
You make it all better, better
You make me feel home
You're my medicine
The song "Medicine" is a duet by Blake Shelton and Shakira that speaks about finding comfort in someone they love. The lyrics dive into the struggles and hardships that they face in life, such as insomnia and overthinking, which leads them to feel like they are going insane. Blake describes the feeling of banging his head up against the wall, staring at nothing, and falling apart. He needs something to shock him to bring him back to his senses. Shakira, on the other hand, is an expert at complicating things and making a war seem like an easy game. However, she also comforts and makes Blake feel like he is home.
Despite the difficulties they face, neither one of them reaches for the bottle of whisky or popping pills to numb the pain. They find that the only thing that can make the pain go away is their partner. The chorus "You're my medicine, medicine, my medicine" is a reflection of this idea and shows just how much they rely on each other to ease their struggles. The repetition of "You make it all better, better, you make me feel home" emphasizes the comfort they find in each other.
Overall, the song portrays the idea that no matter how tough life gets, having someone to lean on and confide in can make all the difference in the world. The lyrics are honest and heartfelt, delivering a message that resonates with people who have faced difficulties in their lives.

Sí Shakira decidiera hacer un álbum de Country o.0 el mundo lo agradecería tanto. Estoy seguro que sería genial porque su voz se oye tan bien en este genero.
