Yo no voy a parar
En esta tierra de nadie
Solo estoy pa' lo mío pa' lo mío
Y no voy a parar
Oh oh!
Yo no voy a parar
En esta tierra de nadie
Solo estoy pa lo mío pa lo mío
Y no voy a parar
Oh oh!
The boss
El más duro
Mucha inteligencia
Los de la naza
The song "El Más Duro" by Daddy Yankee is a testimony to the harsh realities of life and the struggles one must face in the streets. The lyrics speak about the importance of self-reliance, as the artist learned that he could only count on himself in the valley of death. He emphasizes the harshness of the streets and how it toughens you up, and that one's worst enemy is oneself. He talks about the importance of focusing on oneself, staying tough and motivated, and not letting society determine one's worth. He also touches on the corruption of the government, the power of money, and the lack of ethics and morality in society.
The song's chorus repeats the phrase "Soy el más duro," which translates to "I'm the toughest." Daddy Yankee asserts his strength and encourages listeners to embrace their toughness as well. The song's rap verses are done primarily in Spanish with a mix of Puerto Rican slang and street language. The rhythm of the song is a blend of reggaeton, hip-hop, and trap music, featuring a bass-heavy beat with electronic instrumentation and melodic tones.
