No
Y grandes galardones
Pero ninguno de ellos
Tiene tanto significado para él
Como lo ha sido el cariño
Y el respeto de su público

In Daddy Yankee's song Intro, he talks about his humble beginnings and his pride in his neighborhood, which represents the struggles and hopes of the people who live there. The first verse describes the tough and dark streets where he grew up and the obstacles he faced, but also his excitement for the future. He talks about evading pain and sorrow, which suggests that his upbringing was not easy. However, he also acknowledges the presence of good people around him who may have supported him. Through these lines, Daddy Yankee sets the stage for the song and introduces his persona as someone who comes from nothing but dreams big.
In the second verse, Daddy Yankee speaks directly to his community and how it has shaped who he is today. He refers to his neighborhood with pride and explains that he and the people around him call it "barrio" as a term of endearment. He contrasts this with how others may view his community from the outside, calling it "barrio" with a hint of skepticism. Despite this, he takes pride in his heritage and claims responsibility for it. He is not only from a barrio but from a "Barrio Fino" - a fine neighborhood - which he sees as a reflection of his own character. The last lines of the song reveal that Daddy Yankee's destiny was to become a musician, which has brought him great success but also a special connection with his fans.
