No Life
dark station Lyrics

Another day I won't see the lights in front of me
Something else I couldn't give,
Anything I'd do to live
Now I'm finding out this time
Yeah
Summer's eyes
Frienemies
Something else was inside me
Yeah
You've gotta fight it alone now
It's out of control
I know, I know that you're out of place
Can't lose hope
Hey, hi, yeah it's me
A little note from your history
Stop acting like you could see
When it all fell out of place
Replaying things you can't erase
Shaping up way too late
Yeah
Roll the dice, size one waist
Leaving it on a pretty face
Chasing things you can't replace
Yeah
You've gotta fight it alone now
It's out of control
I know, I know that you're out of place
Can't lose hope
Sometimes devils and angels dance
It's not like it's the end
Sometimes devils and angels dance
(You've gotta fight it alone)
I know, I know that you're out of place
Can't lose hope
(You've gotta fight it alone)
I know, I know that you're out of place
Can't lose hope
The lyrics to Dark Station's song "No Life" depict the feeling of being psychologically stuck and not able to break free from one's thoughts. The opening line illustrates the frustration of being trapped within one's own mind for so long that it feels like an endless cycle. The lack of any light ahead symbolizes the loss of hope and uncertainty of the future. The next set of lines shows the singer's struggle with a feeling of regret, wishing they had done things differently. There is a sense of longing for a better life, but the singer feels trapped and unable to change things around them.
The chorus stanza reassures the listener that though they may feel alone and out of control, they should not lose hope. The following set of lines addresses the singer's self-reflection and realization that they have been too late to make things right. Instead of making the right choices, they keep chasing things they cannot replace, leading to an endless cycle. The final stanza acknowledges that even though the journey can be hard, one needs to keep fighting and not lose hope. The line "Sometimes devils and angels dance" signifies that even with all the emotions and contrasting thoughts present within the mind, there is always a way out.

For some reason you’re sound of this song is super nostalgic to me. my older brother introduced me to a lot of rad bands when I was younger and I remember watching him play on the Xbox with songs that sound like this and it was great and those were the days I wish I could go back to. Sadly my brother struggled with alcohol abuse and depression which ended up being the reason for his passing. this is a great song and really shows that good music still exists even if it takes some time to find it.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Thank you for listening

Nate here! I relate to that so much.. I played games to bands also when I was growing up and it was so calming for me. Your brother sounded like a great dude. I'm sorry for your loss... 🤟
