My dad wrote this after reading the kybalion The 7 hermeTic PrinciPals
Before I begin first you must know that the lips of wisdom will remain closed, except to the ears of understanding and this will always be so.
These are the 7 principles for which I am told hold the key to true wisdom so eternally old.
The 1st is MIND, and that which is the ALL, unknowable, indefinable, there are no words that can adorn, it is from within itself all things came to exist including all of us and the elemental list. An infinite, universal, living MIND, from within all things formed including space and time. And in which all will remain until some far-off day, for this is the truth the path and the way, the universe is MIND, that is what the wise ones say.
The 2nd is CORRESPONDENCE, it fits like a glove, As above so below, As below so above, many a dark paradox was solved with this law by the wise ones who found the key to its door, everything that exists living or not, everything you can see, everything you cannot, correspond with each other to the wise this is known for it is within all things that this seed has been sown.
The 3rd is VIBRATION, nothing rests, nothing stops, some things move very little and some quit a lot, like a fast spinning wheel appears as if it is not. But this we all know as science has proven this fact, from the smallest known particle and even smaller than that, from the hardest of metals to the softest of gas, throughout eternal time will this principle last, to the wise this was known so far back in times past.
The 4th is POLARITY, everything has its poles all opposites are the same simply two ends of one whole from north to south through hot and cold from big to small and from young to old. All the same by nature its now so plain to see that the only real difference is of course by degree. So now as I ponder upon love and hate I can see quite clearly there is little need for debate I will polarize love and what is good and right for that is the path of the strong and the wise.
The 5th is RHYTHM, like the pendulum swing as it moves back and forth what a curious thing like the tides of our seas has a high and a low deep within all things there is an ebb and a flow. There is but of course the relation you see in the balance rhythm struck with polarity, by understanding rhythm one comes to realize through the application of natural law to neutralize one could acquire the ability to polarize this of course only achieved by the wisest of wise.
The 6th is the principle of CAUSE AND EFFECT. There is no luck, there is no chance, there are no accidents of circumstance, all things the result of cause and effect. The knowledge of this principle commands the highest respect. To apply this principle requires wisdom and strength, achieved by very few to any real extent, but once you have applied the knowledge of this power no longer are you life’s pawn but in fact life’s player.
The 7th and final is the principle of GENDER, manifesting on all planes as decreed by the sender, an essential ingredient in the existence of all things the masculine and the feminine differing only by degrees. Never more so obvious than in the balance of life father earth mother nature a continuous plight.
So those are the 7 principles with a brief look in with so much more to be found far deeper within but as I am reminded by the wisest of wise there is little point in casting pearls before swine.
