I blame my ears for I can't listen to these glimpses
Where was i?
Inside you hate your forgotten?
I've seen you crawl and I've seen you weep
I've even lived inside your manufactured dreams
Where was i?
Inside your hate you live and need?
Aha
Violence is what you worry (Violence is what you worry)
Is what you'll be (is what you'll be)
Is what you take in everyday (is what you take in everyday)
Violence is what you worry (Violence is what you worry)
Is what you'll be (is what you'll be)
Is what you take in everyday (is what you take in everyday)
And take in everyday
Away
Away
I've seen you crawl and I've seen you weep
I've even lived inside your manufactured dreams
Where was i? where was i?
Inside your hate you forgotten?
I want you touch me in my bleed (I want you touch me in my bleed)
I want you touch my ancient weak
I want you touch me in my bleed (I want you touch me in my bleed)
I want you touch my ancient
Weak
Violence is what you worry (Violence is what you worry)
Is what you'll be (is what you'll be)
Is what you take in everyday (is what you take in everyday)
And take in every anyway
And take in every anyway
Violence is what you worry (Violence is what you worry)
Is what you'll be (is what you'll be)
Is what you take in everyday (is what you take in everyday)
And take in every anyway
And take in every anyway
Violence is what you worry (Violence is what you worry)
Is what you'll be (is what you'll be)
Is what you take in everyday (is what you take in everyday)
The children the mother the dying
Violence is what you worry (Violence is what you worry)
Is what you'll be (is what you'll be)
Is what you take in everyday (is what you take in everyday)
The children the mother the dying
And take in every anyway
The lyrics of Melancholic Bitch's song "Genealogy of Melancholia" delve into the inner turmoil of the singer's mind. The first lines expresses blame towards the body's senses, the eyes and ears, for not being able to handle the overwhelming emotions that come with glimpses of reality. The singer reflects on their past, wondering where they were at times when they saw the subject of the song (possibly another person) suffer in pain or sadness. The lyrics suggest that both the singer and the subject of the song struggle with violent thoughts and emotions, and that it affects them every day. The repeated line "violence is what you worry, is what you'll be, is what you take in everyday" reflects a pattern of destructive behavior that seems to follow them.
The second half of the lyrics takes on a sexually charged tone as the singer talks about wanting the subject of the song to touch their "bleed" and "ancient weak." It's unclear what these lines mean exactly, but they suggest a desire for intimacy or vulnerability. The final lines seemingly expands the scope of the song to include others, referencing "the children, the mother, the dying" and how violence is present in their lives too. Overall, the lyrics of "Genealogy of Melancholia" explore themes of blame, violence, and desire, and the impact they have on oneself and others.
