In December of 2001, the show Asayan began their "Korea Japan Ultra Idol Duo Audition." From out of 15,000 applicants, the final two chosen were Takahashi Marina of Japan and Choi Soo Young of Korea. At the time, Marina was 12 and Soo Young was only 11. The group made their musical debut in April of 2002 with the single Start.

日韓アイドルデュオオーディションで選ばれたこの2人。
プロデュースしたのが河村隆一さんなのが驚きでしたね
確かスヨンが「だよね」がうまく発音できなくてまりなちゃんに教えてもらってたのが記憶に残ってます
