While you sleep, dream of me
I'll be keeping our memories
Living in my heart and soul
Waiting for the day
When we will be together again

Carry me to my love
Ov'r the sea to the clouds above
Where I know he is waiting for me
Carry me to my love
Ov'r the sea to the clouds above

Take me away to the shining light
Over the waves peaceful at night
There among the stars glowing in the dark
You watch over me
Smiling down patiently

Carry me to my love
Ov'r the sea to the clouds above
Where I know he is waiting for me
Carry me to my love
Over the sea to the clouds above

Carry me to my love
Ov'r the sea to the clouds above
Where I know he is waiting for me
Carry me to my love
Ov'r the sea to the clouds above

A foreign princess of different race, stood alone in the tower, no one dare approaching her. A trophy of war for this kingdom, and a symbol of peace for her own, her marriage to this kingdoms prince was the unification needed to bring about the end of a bloody war. As she neared the looming door she could hear the roar of the crowd now gathered in the city square, many of whom had lost loved ones in the bitter fighting and wished to see her dead. As the huge door cracked open, a rush of searing hot air swept past her almost sending her off her feet as she stepped out towards the spiteful crowd.

Taking shelter from the heat and watching from a nearby archway, a knight saw as the crowd grew large and restless, many of who had certainly felt the effects of the prolonged war, but none having seen its horrors. He cared not for anything anymore, the roots of this conflict burying deep into his heart. The only emotions he felt were in the nightmares that haunted his dreams.
As the great door cracked open the crowd screamed their disgust as the foreign princess stepped out. He looked to see her delicate frame descending the tower steps and into the city square. Her kind had been his enemy for so long, but now he harboured no ill feelings towards them, seeing that like he had done before, she was simply serving her people in pursuit of peace.
He watched as she struggled with each step, clearly weakened from her long journey across the continent. The city guard now barely able to contain the crowd from pushing past them, they did not care as the princess tripped and fell, and the crowd erupted with laughter and applause.
The knight felt a sudden sharp sensation in his heart, knowing such innocent beauty did not deserve this treatment, before he had realised, he had begun pushing his way through the crowd. โ€œSteady there soldierโ€ a member of the city guard barked, drawing the attention of many people in the crowd. As the knight continued forward he was unsure of his own intentions, once more the guard ordered โ€œHalt soldier, by order of the city guardโ€. As the knight approached, the guardsmen drew his blade, now in full focus of the bewildered crowds. As the knight stepped forth from the crowd the guardsmen swung his sword only to for the knight to strike him with a thunderous punch, dropping him to the ground.
The knight approached the princess still unsure of his own actions, when he reached her, she looked up into his eyes. Stunned by her gentle beauty, his eyes locked into hers, like blue crystals, he could not think of what to do and by impulse extend his hand.

As her legs gave out from underneath her, she fell to the ground and felt the sharp pain of her delicate skin tearing on the rough stones of the pavement, as she summoned the will to hold back her tears in front of the hostile crowd the princess realised she didnโ€™t have the strength to rise to her feet. As she tried to force herself onto her numbed legs, a sudden cooling shadow loomed over her, blocking the hot dry sun. She winced, preparing herself for a painful blow. But it did not come, when she looked up she saw a cold figure looming over her. A knight, whose amour was unlike those of the men who guarded the city. His was unpolished and undecorated, it looked battered and warn. He simply outstretched his hand and said only two words..โ€My Ladyโ€. The princess caught a quick glimpse of his eyes, shining green like polished emeralds, they were young and handsome, but looked sad and held the pain of many lifetimes.
She put her weight onto his arm and he quickly thrust her to her feet. Continuing to walk towards the city keep the crowd became more violent, now hurling rotten food and stones. Before a single blow had time to land, the knight had pulled her waist into his and raised his shield to protect from the oncoming barrage. As she looked back to see where she had fallen, the princess saw that he had also raised his cloak to protect her. A cloak that like his armour was tattered, warn and scarred from countless battles, soon realising that unlike the city guard, his had not been dyed with colour, but stained red with blood. Despite this, she felt more at ease now, protected by him, than she had felt since leaving her home.

The two quickly approached the city keep with the violent crowd now closing in on them. The tall doors of the keep swung open revealing the kingdoms prince, her betrothed, to be there waiting. The knight quickly pushed her through the doors to ensure her safety. The prince barely acknowledging the shaken princess, gave a shocked look as he turned to her knight and gave a half bow, โ€œitโ€™s an honour to finally have met youโ€. The knight completely ignoring him, turned to the princess locking eyes with her and saying only, โ€œuntil you need me, my ladyโ€ before quickly turning, drawing his sword and once more descending into the city crowd. She could only watch and lose sight, as the great doors closed, not knowing the fate of her knight, nor even his name.

"I won't cry mother." She smiled leaving the cell. The Queen wasn't looking at her but that was easier for both of them.
She lost too much, princess thought walking down the stairs, I won't be another thorn in her heart.
But the way was long and with every step she felt like her body will crumble. That was for the kingdom's sake. For people that needed a King and King wanted to be sure of his position. She understood him. He wasn't a bad man. He will be a good husband and ruler. It was a deal that guaranted peace and tranquillity.
She took one misstep and the guard caught her from falling.
"Thank you." She said quietly. He didn't answer.
The crowd was angry. Another thing she knew would happened but she had to clench her fist. Mother will be watching. Everybody will be watching. She needed to be strong and play the role.
Traitor was the first word she heard.
"You are leaving us!" She wanted to look the person in the eye. "What would your father think?"
She felt king's stare from the bridge. She wasn't going to break because that was right and that was the deal. They can see it as a betreyal if they want. She wasn't a fighter and they needed one now.
"Princess Marielle" King's voice was cold and sharp. "You have chosen to leave the city and stay on the Summer Island. Do you stand by your choice."
"Yes my King." There was even some respect in his eyes.
People hated him so they needed to hate her more.
"If that's so I wish you a happy journey."
"Thank you. I wish you luck. Our Kingdom needs you."
The first stone came when she walked just a couple of meters. The guard said nothing but looked at the crowd. She placed a hand on his armor.
"We should keep going." I can't do it for much longer, she wanted to say. He agreed silently but stood at her left now. She apreciated it but people keep shouting.
I'm sorry! I'm sorry but I can't do it! I'm not running away! I promise you I'm not!
There were still no tears because she would not let them fall. Her eyes closed when they were getting closer to the port and then a strong, cold hand was placed on her shoulder. She couldn't see his face but wanted to believe it was kind. As the hand disapeared, the shield rose and he cowerd her with his red cloaked.
"They won''t touch you." He said, bearly hearable throught the people's mockery.
"Their words already did" the phrase escaped her lips. It was almost like she was beyond the wall again. If she didn't see their figures, they almost weren't real. "But that's none of your worries". She tried to smile. He stayed quiet for a moment.
"I'm no one, princess and my words means nothing..." This voice wasn't right for the armor. He sounded so young that she wondered how old was he. "But I wish they knew why. I wish I could tell them."
"Sir?" She felt the warm in her heart that almost made her forgot what's before her. "That means the world to me."

A princess fair with tears in her eyes,
Her heart heavy with sorrow and sighs,
In a tower high she sits and weeps,
Her soul tormented by secrets she keeps.

Her kingdom now in chaos and strife,
Her love forbidden by her royal life,
Alone she sits and wonders why,
Her destiny marked by a cruel lie.

Her beauty fades with every passing day,
Her hope dwindles, she begins to fray,
Her dreams shattered, her spirit broken,
Her heart, once pure, now a barren token.

Oh, how she longs for freedom's embrace,
To leave behind this cursed, royal place,
But alas, her fate she cannot outrun,
A princess bound by duty, forever undone.

"Carry Me"

While you sleep, dream of me
I'll be keeping our memories
Living in my heart and soul
Waiting for the day
When we will be together again

Carry me to my love
O'er the sea to the clouds above
Where I know he's waiting for me
Carry me to my love
O'er the sea to the clouds above

Take me away to the shining light
Over the waves peaceful at night
There among the stars glowing in the dark
You watch over me
Smiling down patiently

Carry me to my love
O'er the sea to the clouds above
Where I know he's waiting for me
Carry me to my love
O'er the sea to the clouds above

Carry me to my love
O'er the sea to the clouds above
Where I know he's waiting for me
Carry me to my love
O'er the sea to the clouds above

In realms of doubt, where shadows loomed,
A warrior's protection embraced, consumed.
The princess, misunderstood, bore her plight,
But the warrior stood strong, her beacon of light.

Shielding her from whispers, judgments unkind,
He saw her truth, her heart entwined.
In battles fought, their bond was revealed,
Redemption's flame ignited, wounds were healed.

"Such a farse." Breathed a heavy, yet warm hearted voice that revealed lingering shards of sympathy. Such a voice filled the air, taken from the shielded lips of an armored protector, who guided the dainty steps of a maiden made of silk diamonds worth more than any amount of gold.

The fair lady gave him gentle gazes, entrusting his guidance passed a roaring crowd of existences who barked, spat, and scoffed at the display of her being provided with security. But they knew only so much... and indeed, they only knew little of the reason for her continued protection.

"They'll have your head for this, you know..." her accent laced words, coated with concern yet firmly held appreciation traced reminders into the knight's ears. And yet the knight in mention allowed himself to chuckle, keeping a raised arm and hand attached to the crimson stitching of a cape that blocked the princess from view.

"My lady... I would rather die from carrying you to freedom with hands as bare as ones that wear no armor, than to stand idly by and bask in the harsh spill of brigading onslaught bestowed upon your butterfly features from our people." He spoke words dripped in truth. "My duty has been but a dull one, for I have done no more than stand around for lengthy time and wait for reasons to protect." He continued to dribble phrases, before his helmet turned to stare at the young female. The drumming of yells and spews of disagreement from all around them grew abruptly muffled and of no importance.

"... I now have a reason."

In a kingdom veiled in opulence and grandeur, where every footstep echoed with the weight of tradition and societal constraints, a princess named Seraphina found herself ensnared in a forbidden love. Her heart, so pure and unyielding, had succumbed to the charms of a lowly peasant born man named Lucien, whose essence breathed life into her soul.

While the world slumbered, Seraphina would steal away to the moonlit gardens, where her love for Lucien blossomed beneath the watchful gaze of the stars. In the cloak of darkness, their whispered confessions mingled with the gentle rustle of leaves, a secret symphony woven in the tapestry of their clandestine affair.

With every stolen moment, their memories became treasures, locked away in the recesses of Seraphina's heart and soul. She cherished the stolen glances, the fleeting touches, and the intoxicating words that bound them together. Their love was an ethereal flame, burning bright amidst a sea of constraints and obligations.

But destiny, fickle and unforgiving, decreed that their love should be veiled in sorrow and longing. The chasm between their worlds was an impenetrable fortress, guarded by the weight of societal expectations and the whispers of disapproval. Seraphina was bound by duty, by the chains of her royal lineage, while Lucien, a mere mortal, was consigned to a life of anonymity and poverty.

Yet, the princess and the peasant yearned for a love that transcended the boundaries of their existence. Seraphina dreamt of a day when their souls would be unshackled, when she could forsake her crown and revel in the simplicity of a life with Lucien. In the depths of her dreams, she implored the heavens to carry her to her beloved, to a place where their love could exist without restraints.

"Carry me to my love," she would whisper as she closed her eyes, her plea echoing through the ethereal realms. And in the embrace of slumber, she would be swept away on a celestial current, carried over the sea and into the clouds above. Through the luminous expanse of the sky, she soared, her heart pulsating with hope and desperation.

In the realm of the shining light, where the moon cast its gentle glow upon the tranquil waves, Seraphina found solace. There, amidst the stars glowing in the dark, she sensed the presence of her beloved. Lucien, patiently awaiting her arrival, watched over her with a love that defied reason. Their connection, a celestial thread woven by fate, drew them closer, defying the boundaries imposed by their world.

"Carry me to my love," she murmured once more, her voice infused with unyielding devotion. And in a breathtaking display of divine intervention, they were united. The heavens, stirred by their ardor, carried them above the realm of mortals, ascending to the pinnacle of their desires. There, amidst the iridescent tapestry of the cosmos, their love burned brighter than a thousand suns.

But such grandeur came at a cost. The universe, awash with jealousy and resentment, conspired against their love. The forces of fate, like tempestuous winds, threatened to tear them apart. As they danced amidst the stars, their hearts entwined, they were but ephemeral beings, teetering on the edge of eternal separation.

The heavens, witnessing their plight, smiled down upon them with bittersweet affection. The moon wept tears of silver, mirroring the anguish within their souls. Seraphina and Lucien, caught between realms and shackled by duty, knew that their love was a fragile ember, vulnerable to the whims of a universe indifferent to their desires.

And so, as the dawn broke and the golden light painted the horizon, they descended from the celestial heights, their love lingering in the ethereal realm from which it was born. Seraphina, adorned once more in the mantle of her royal duties, carried their memories as precious secrets, locked away from prying eyes.

While they slept, their dreams intertwined, forever bound by the promise of a love that would never be extinguished. In the depths of their hearts, they nurtured the hope of a future where societal constraints would crumble, where their souls would be forever united. Until that day arrived, they would carry each other, like whispers on the wind, until the stars aligned and their love was no longer forbidden.
