Since i discovered the magnificent voice of Gregory Porter, the man himself, I have been in awe of his talent and soothing melodic voice. I've also thought that his pianist was equally talented; very intuitive.. They are beautifully matched so its not a "but" for me when referring to the pianist, it's an "and" he is very talented as well! Bravo to them both.

I was there also. Potentially the best gig I've ever been to in any genre. Just stunning. I saw him in spring and I've got tickets to see him in December in the Albert Hall again. Its like seeing marvin gaye or stevie wonder in the 70s or something. Just so good

So.... this makes me remember this gravel road that I took as a kid to get to my grandfathers house. When my grandfather would park in his garage I could smell the mixture of gravel and gasoline and it was amazing. This mans voice is like gravel, gasoline and grandpa. My safety.

If you wanna help the world a little there is a bunch of small things that we can change in our everyday habits that make a bigger diference than you can imagine. You can avoid using disposable plastics as much as posible, you can avoid eating tuna and other big fish whos capture involves lots of bycatch, you can try eating meat less often, and try to generate as little trash as possible . I dedicate myself to ocean science so what I say is all mostly related to this and the environment. Yet, human society is completely depented on a healthy Planet Earth, so by doing this things we can definitley help countlesss people indirectly too. I only truly understood the important of these things until recently so spreading spreading these ideas in your community or close circle of friends and family can also make a big diference.

Greg's voice leaves me speechless. When 'Take Me to the Alley' came out, I played it all day when sitting still. So much compassion, empathy and humanity in that song. "Brother, you'll have a pardon." And on the last song, the pianist looked like he was about to cry. The whole human experience in three songs... My God!

The pianist, Chip Crawford, puts down every key dramatically, and also with complete reverence to every moment of Gregory’s masterful performance. Yeah they are both totally redonculous, but man has he got some kind of unique timbre in that graceful but technically tight vocal sound. The two together are an audible treat no doubt!! Wow. This is beautiful. We live in a time where that if you are a male and don't sing in falsetto you're "not" a good singer.

His voice is so lovely and his pianist is magnificent, they sound wonderful together. He should get more attention as a singer because his vocals are fire,but he's a jazz/soul/spiritual singer rather than the radio friendly "pop" star" acts.
