It´s Time
v/a DC Demos LP Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've been here a long time
I've been here a long time
Let darkness take away the pain
How can we heal the same?
How can we feel the same?
I've been here a long time
I've been here a long time
Let darkness take away the pain
How can we heal the same?
How can we feel the same?
I've been here a long time
I've been here a long time
Let darkness take away the pain
How can we heal the same?
How can we feel the same?
I've been here a long time
I've been here a long time
Let darkness take away the pain

How can we heal the same?
How can we feel the same?

@Madkre8tor

the DC scene kicked total ass back in the day. I saw a bunch of bands I cant even remember with 9353, Marginal Man, Govt Issue, and bunch of bands touring thru, incl. 2x seeing D.K. (!), C.O.C., SS decontrol, Circle Jerks, MDC, incredible good times. miss the energy of that scene. no one has quite matched it yet.

@jbat5595

ABSOLUTELY! Seen the same bands growing up in San Diego during what consider the prime of punk.".the scene , the gigs , the fights the friendships and the lifestyle HARDCORE PUNK 4LIFE TO THE GRAVE

@kingofpentacles3213

We’ll, you didn’t grow up in SoCal/L.A. so you wouldn’t know. As someone that did I can tell you that what went on here in the early late ‘70’s/‘80’s was absolutely incredible, and with a much lager population, bigger.

@mindmesh7566

Those were the days!!! And so many of those hardcore bands were so young!! Living fast!!!

I just gave this album a good comment, yet it doesn't seem to have been posted. WTF!

@uncontrollableurgh

Wow! Like this better than their "Possible" EP. This version of Last Word is also on Flex Your Head btw.

@dingram3

Just so you know- dischord is releasing a ltd edition 7" of YB demos in summer 2015.

@Hardulf

I've never heard this demo, only the 7". Thanks for posting. I remember reading in Rollin's 'Get in the Van' that he felt that DC and LA had the two biggest scenes in the US. I'm from LA and saw a ton of amazing LA bands, but I would love to have been around the DC scene at the time too. Such great music out of the nations capitol!

@Bigd843

I didn't know there were 2 youth brigades till now. I like it.

@onrustnv9250

Got this as a split with the Minor threat demo on a 12"
