On 16th January, 2021 a group-buy was hosted to sell “Angel” for $800. The buy completed in around 3 hours with the song leaking a few hours later.
Masked Man originally released the instrumental on his YouTube and SoundCloud a few months before the snippet was released.
Shiloh Dynasty has been sampled multiple times in XXXTENTACION’s songs, most notably as sampled features on “Jocelyn Flores,” “Carry On” and “Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares” and now “Angel.”

The first part of the song starts off with reversed lyrics that actually say, "I won't solve it, been pretty happy lately," which can be seen as a commentary on X's own mental state. "Llew os uoy wonk I" is "I know you well," spelled backward, and "Nac eh naht retteb od nac I, naem I" is "I mean, can't help but notice an echo in here, am I, am I?"
The chorus follows the reversed lyrics, and in it, X pleads for someone to not take or break his heart. The repetition of "Bmun os m'I, emas eht leef t'nod I dna" is "I don't want to feel the same emotions, numb so I'm" spelled backward. This can be interpreted as X expressing his desire to protect himself from being emotionally hurt.
In the second verse, X questions the feeling of heartbreak and whether it truly captures the essence of pain. The girls name is Vaylin. The boy in black is Thexan and the other in white is Arcann. All three are siblings, with the boys being twins. The man is Valkorion, their father, or better known as the emperor, he was very ignorant of his children. The woman is Senya, the mother of siblings. Vaylin is a troubled girl, she inherited her fathers enormous power in the force and in turn she was incredibly powerful.
She would lift furniture when she was still in the womb. In general she was a sweet girl but she got violent when she was even slightly frustrated. When she was younger, she crippled one of the guards you see in golden armor because he dropped a ball she threw. Senya noticed her daughters violent tendencies and pleaded with Valkorion to do something to help their daughter. But although distant, Valkorion had been paying some attention to his favorite child and suggested that she be taken to Nathema, where they would place mental blocks on her and suppress some of her power.
But the process itself required torture and therefore, Senya, being motherly, disagreed. She tried to run away with her children but they rejected her, and believed her weak. So she left to serve as one of the enforcement devisions of the knights, as you saw in one of the scenes where she stood outside. She had a vision one night of a ritual taking place that was changing her child. And only then she go return where the rituals where taking place with some of her close knight friends, with the planet being Nathema.
She found Vaylin, who was the person who she saw turn dark because of the ritual. The sleepy girl barely registered what was happening, and when they were at the platform, Senya encounterred the 6 Nathema Zealot, force sensetives who survived the barren planet(Barren for a reason) thought rituals and meditations. And they engaged in a duel for the boy, as in the video. Senya defeated them all and her friends arrived on a ship to pick them up but stood near the end of the platform and called for her daughter, who merely stood there and stared at her. That was until Valkorion himself exited the facility with the Keepers, a group of force sensitives who were far beyond even the Zealots. Senya friends knew this and jumped out to pull her back into the ship and they did.
Heartbroken, she made no other attempt at saving her children. Instead she started a small rebellion and when they were to have a get together on a planet,Vaylin(Who was now older, and even more physco and even had hate in her) killed all of them before Senya arrived. When Senya did arrive she found them dead and activated her lightsaber pike, investigating the area. That was when Vayling drew close, igniting the oil that was leaking from a crashed nearby crashed ship with force lightning, like you saw at the last scene. She then used the force to pull her mother's lightsaber from her hand and use it against her, and Senya called to one of the fallen rebels lightsaber to defend herself.
