Larry Stewart left Restless Heart in late 1991 after the group released the compilation "The Best of Restless Heart." The group then became a quartet and released "Big Iron Horses" in 1992 shortly after which Dave Innis left the group. The group released "Matters of the Heart" in 1994 before splitting up. In 1998, a reunited Restless Heart (minus Innis) recorded three new songs for a Greatest Hits album and then toured with Vince Gill for about a year.
In 2003, all five members reunited and recorded the album "Still Restless" for Koch Nashville in 2004. The record label closed in early 2005 leaving the group without a label. They are still touring and released a live album through their website in August 2007.
No End To This Road
Restless Heart Lyrics

We?re about to travel to where we?ve never been
Don?t need no signs no map we?ll just follow the wind
Cut a path through the wheat fields no way we?ll get lost
Set stones in the river so we can get across
And that mountain up ahead we?ll climb
Take off running up hill, yes, we will
'Cause there ain?t no end to this road
No matter what direction we go
As long as we?re together it goes on forever
There ain?t no end to this road
Well, this love is a journey to who knows where
We?ll get a little closer with every mile that we share
Whatever our destination we?ll let our hearts take us there
Yes, we?ll, will now
'Cause there ain?t no end to this road
No matter what direction we go
As long as we?re together it goes on forever
There ain?t no end to this road
Well, this love is a journey to who knows where
We?ll get a little closer with every mile that we share
Whatever our destination we?ll let our hearts take us there
Yes, we?ll, will now
'Cause there ain?t no end to his road
No matter what direction we go
As long as we?re together it goes on forever
Any kind of weather, baby whatever ain?t no end to this road
Ain?t no end to this road
(This road goes on and on)
It goes on and on and on, yes
(This road goes on and on)
Ain?t no end to this road
(This road goes on and on)
The song "No End To This Road" by Restless Heart is a beautiful representation of the journey that love can take us on. The opening lines set the scene with a sense of adventure, with the singer describing how they are on the edge of the gravel where the black top ends, ready to travel to a place they've never been before. The journey they are embarking on is one of discovery and exploration, and they are willing to follow the wind to wherever it takes them.
The lyrics then go on to describe how they will navigate their way on this journey without any signs or a map, relying on their intuition and each other. They will cut a path through wheat fields and set stones in the river to cross it, all with the knowledge that they will never get lost as long as they are together. The chorus repeats the phrase "there ain't no end to this road" several times, emphasizing the idea that this journey of love has no destination or final endpoint, but rather it will go on forever as long as they are together.
The closing lines reiterate this sentiment, as the singer describes how this love is a journey to an unknown destination, but they will get a little closer with every mile they share. They trust their hearts to guide them wherever they need to go, and they embrace the uncertainty of the journey because they know that as long as they are together, the road will never truly end.
