Larry Stewart left Restless Heart in late 1991 after the group released the compilation "The Best of Restless Heart." The group then became a quartet and released "Big Iron Horses" in 1992 shortly after which Dave Innis left the group. The group released "Matters of the Heart" in 1994 before splitting up. In 1998, a reunited Restless Heart (minus Innis) recorded three new songs for a Greatest Hits album and then toured with Vince Gill for about a year.
In 2003, all five members reunited and recorded the album "Still Restless" for Koch Nashville in 2004. The record label closed in early 2005 leaving the group without a label. They are still touring and released a live album through their website in August 2007.
That Rock Won't Roll
Restless Heart Lyrics

Is gonna catch somebody's eye.
You ought to see all the double-takes,
When she goes walkin' by.
But she's so distant.
She seems so cold.
Everybody says that rock won't roll.
They say the girl's got a heart of stone.
Oh, but she's too pretty to be alone.
I've got all this love inside me,
And I've just got to see,
If that rock won't roll.
I'll give her everything I've got,
I'm gonna change her point of view.
I'll keep tryin' and I won't stop,
Until the love in her eyes shines through.
When I show her,
This heart of gold.
Then we'll see if that rock won't roll,
They say the girl's got a heart of stone.
That rock won't roll,
Oh, but she's too pretty to be alone.
I've got all this love inside me,
And I've just got to see,
If that rock won't roll.
Instrumental Break.
I've got all this love inside me,
And I've just got to see,
If that rock won't roll.
Oh, she's so pretty,
But that rock won't roll.
Oooh, and I've just got to see,
To Fade.
If that rock won't roll.
That rock won't roll.
I just can't believe that rock won't roll.
Restless Heart's song "That Rock Won't Roll" is a ballad about a girl who catches everyone's attention with every move she makes. However, the girl appears to be unapproachable and distant. The singer admits that everyone says the girl has a heart of stone and that rock won't roll. Despite this, the singer believes that the girl is too pretty to be alone and wants to show her all the love inside of him to change her point of view.
The lyrics tell the story of a man who is willing to try and break through the girl's icy exterior to find love. He is confident that if he just shows her his heart of gold, he can change her mind about love and they can be together. The song's title "That Rock Won't Roll" refers to the girl's supposed heart of stone, which is not susceptible to the usual charms of love.
The song is catchy and has a memorable chorus that has made it a classic rock ballad. It showcases the band's vocal range and their ability to create an emotional tune with their harmonies. The lyrics are relatable to anyone who has ever been in love or had a crush on someone who seems unattainable.
