The songs happen in a fire of emotion most often with ocean views and a little town with lights twinkling below like you might see in Dr Zeus.
The first song they wrote "Tiger Beach" crystalized their modern rock direction - - the reverse vocals are ethereal --and weirdly echo through the song.
Sean had written a song on a boat called "14 Observations" - and this piece of music is serene, profound and you can feel the ocean.
"Sun Song" seemed to kind of write itself. All of a sudden this song was done and it was just the production. Share the light - uplifting and down to earth - and challenging at the same time. A new level of playing and passion was found with this song. This song has folks singing the chorus at the gigs. Lynda found a new voice on this song that has had folks say Janis Joplin, and Robert Plant.
"Skyline" - has the imagery of the top of the Santa Cruz mountains - and the arrangement - wanders and twists just like the redwood road. " We'll pull together better
weather". Sean and Lynda put this song down in an organic method that ended up being an exact analogy for the meaning of the song.
"Fly to Me" evolved with different instrumentation and yet was written and originally recorded acoustically. Phil who played drums on all the songs hears it just like Sean and Lynda do and creates epic drum tracks in just one or two takes. The verse production in this song is open and free.
