Genesis
Dua Lipa Lyrics

In the beginning
God created Heaven and Earth
For what it's worth, I think that he might've created you first
Just my opinion
Your body is the one paradise that I wanna fly to
Every day and every night

I've been sick and tired of running
Chasing all of the flashing lights
These late nights don't mean nothing
So I just wanna apologize
I'm sorry, so sorry
I'm sorry, yeah

I need your love
And I'm dying for the rush
'Cause my heart ain't got enough
I need your touch
This is getting serious
Tell me that it's not the end of us
How can we go back to the beginning?
How can we go back to the beginning?
Without you, I've got no air to breathe in
How can we go back to the beginning?

Don't matter what's written
We can start all over again, all over again
Oh, how can I get you all over my skin?
My deep intuition tells me that I'm doing you wrong
If I don't come home
Just say you forgive me and don't let me go

I've been sick and tired of running
Chasing all of the flashing lights
These late nights don't mean nothing
So I just wanna apologize
I'm sorry, so sorry
I'm sorry, yeah

I need your love
And I'm dying for the rush
'Cause my heart ain't got enough
I need your touch
This is getting serious
Tell me that it's not the end of us
How can we go back to the beginning?
How can we go back to the beginning?
Without you, I've got no air to breathe in
How can we go back to the beginning?

You know, I roar like a lion
For you, you know I'll keep trying 'til the sun stops rising

I need your love
And I'm dying for the rush
'Cause my heart ain't got enough
I need your touch
This is getting serious
Tell me that it's not the end of us
How can we go back to the beginning?
How can we go back to the beginning?
Without you, I've got no air to breathe in
How can we go back to the beginning?

I really think this song is meant for acoustic, the lyrics are so deep and the pop version does not capture that emotion enough.

I agree

I agreeee

Nohemi Guzman

this version is for u to cry to die and pop version to feel a little bit hopeful, I love both versions

Nohemi Guzman

esta versión es para que llores a morir y con la versión pop
puedes sentirte esperanzado y triste a la vez amo ambas

My personal opinion is that the older songs of Dua are not given the same appreciation as the more current ones because in my opinion the older ones had completely the personality of a free young woman starting a brilliant path of success and fame and I believe I should have the same appreciation on our part as the newer ones that are very great but I love the feeling that he gives me to listen to his first songs since his love for what she does is felt <3

@Let Tice I agree

@Let Tice true she doesn't like it that she didn't wrote new rules. And that was exactly the song that made her popular. I still don't like it that dua only was be regnonized because of new rules .
