The first time in a recording studio was in the 1990's during high school when a friend in the community heard about the artist and decided to invest some money to launch his career a few dubplates were made and a single, the dubplates were for a radio station called irie fm in Jamaica, shortly after high school legend flew to the United States for summer vacation when he returned to Jamaica four months later the connection was lost, still in the mix of things another connection was made when a community event took place on labour day a sound called wild fire asked the artist for four dubplates to play in the dancehalls, legend is no stranger to famous recording studios in Jamaica from jammys to anchors to arrows while back in the islands he enjoyed a whole lot of experiences in the music business until his mom asked him to return to America. In America it didn't take long to get back in the music, a friend was met who took him to a house to do a mix tape a few days after another sound selector was met who took him to New York to do some dubplates it was a good experience but people at the studio knew a little about legend because while in Philadelphia the artist was on the radio wkdu a carribean station which was aired in Camden and rumored to be heard in new York also,so while in new York he was well received by the owner of the studio which was suprising to him on how this guy already knew his name. The music venture in Philadelphia was a good experience, performances in the clubs like the upper deck where his dubplates was a part of a victorious five sound clash, performance at the milcreek community centre three times with artistes like capletan, spragga benz,at the electric factory with Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths, one of his dubs was used as a jingle for rogger culter on the reggae dancehall explosion to open the show.More connections were made when an independent label called Alafia records signed the artist it was a recording agreement a cd was made and a few shows took place,in boston and Virginia it was said by the label in a meeting that the artist was paying his dues and making progress like getting radio plays it was also said that the artist was called to open the biggest one night event in Jamaica a show called sting held at the national stadium, but it was turned down due to personal issues. presently legend is still in the music business still recording he has mautured and is now more appealing to the international market.Singles and tracks recorded by legend in Philadelphia:Rather to be label Blazin Hot studio,Weak Weak Blazin hot studio, the LP legendary on Alafia records,Road to zion on utopia records.
