Aneka
Mary Sandeman (born November 20, 1954), is a Scottish singer better known by the name Aneka. She had an international #1 with the 1981 single "Japanese Boy". Aneka's only studio album, Aneka, failed to chart in the US; with decreasing chart placements for her follow-up singles, the last of which was released in 1984, she was forever labeled a "one-hit wonder." Sandeman has since disowned her '80s act and returned to her musical beginnings in her native Scotland as a folk singer, performing and recording interpretations of Scottish folk songs with the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra. Aneka's career enjoyed a modest resuscitation as a result of "Japanese Boy" being featured on the soundtrack of the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Japanese Boy
Aneka Lyrics
He said that he loved me, never would go
Oh oh, oh oh
Now I find I'm sitting here on my own
Oh oh, oh oh
Was it something I've said or done
That made him pack his bags up and run
Could it be another he's found
It's breaking up the happy home
Mister can you tell me where my love has gone
He's a Japanese boy
I woke up one morning and my love was gone
Oh, my Japanese boy
Ooh, I miss my Japanese boy
People ask about him every day
Oh oh, oh oh
Don't know what to tell them, what can I say
Oh oh, oh oh
If only he would write me or call
A word of explanation, that's all
It would stop me climbing the wall
It's breaking up the happy home
Mister can you tell me where my love has gone
He's a Japanese boy
I woke up one morning and my love was gone
Oh, my Japanese boy
Ooh, I miss my Japanese boy
Was it something I've said or done
That made him pack his bags up and run
Could it be another he's found
It's breaking up the happy home
Mister can you tell me where my love has gone
He's a Japanese boy
I woke up one morning and my love was gone
Oh, my Japanese boy
Ooh, I miss my Japanese boy
Mister can you tell me where my love has gone
He's a Japanese boy
I woke up one morning and my love was gone
Oh, my Japanese boy
Ooh, I miss my Japanese boy

From 40 years ago, this hit song was among " Kiss on your list" and "Kids in America" both of them megahits back then. Turned a forgotten hit till be re-discovered for GTA in middle 2000 and over lots of views on YT.
