Britten is a U.S. singer and songwriter.
At the age of seven he received his first guitar, and when hw was thirteen his grandmother made the investment to upgrade it. He gave his first live performance at a local venue when he was sixteen. He moved to Boston to attend Berklee at the age of seventeen, and at twenty, he returned to Music City to pursue his musical career.
In 2007, Britten entered into a production deal with Grammy Award winning producers/songwriters Drew & Shannon. They walked Britten through the process of honing his skills as a writer and performer. Also during this period, Britten got his first big song placement with "Good Morning", a song co-written with Drew & Shannon and John Legend, with whom Drew & Shannon were working at the time.
The outcome of this highly productive period is the December 2009 EP Six Strings and a Drum Machine, combining Britten's love of the music of the 1980s with the guitar and songwriting influences of James Taylor and John Mayer.
