From soft & quiet to loud & harsh(sometimes even back & forth throughout the same song), the sonic territories traveled are as abstract, imaginative, & beautiful as much as they are robotic, mechanical, & industrial sounding.
Their sounds consistently combine control with intuition, evoking a sense of continuous seeking & wandering through endless possibilities, never afraid of what they might encounter. Constantly blurring the lines between what is physically played on an instrument by their own touch or manipulated by knobs in real time, they alternate or blend together guitar, synth, keyboard, & occasionally percussion with effects pedals, processors, a feedback looper, & a custom circuit bent toy to make sounds from other universes.
The group's name is inspired by an article featuring the 'god helmet' invention designed to electromagnetically induce feelings of bliss, enlightenment, & the presence of other entities, replicating (or truly creating?) near death experiences, meditation, visions, etc. by machine ...as well as the term 'entheogen' which means "generating the experience of God within".
Their extremely limited debut album, 'Electrocatalysts' was described by the Italian noise label Monstres par Excès it was released on, as "...shockwaves of subtle & disturbing echoes, liquid tremors & unearthly drones".
