Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and raised in Michigan & Texas. Jay Matthews released his debut EP, Before The Dream, in 2011 through his independent record label. The EP produced his first breakthrough single “Winter Heart” which drew the attention of fans, record labels, and radio stations globally. He has toured the midwest and west coast and is prepping to return to the road in 2013 and hit the rest of the United States. He is currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is prepping to release his next album “Project Genesis” due out sometime this year. He released his first studio album titled, “Dreams & Microphones” on 12/15/12 and since then has been building up buzz worldwide. 2013 so far has been a big year and there is more to come with another album, music videos, and shows on the way.
