Keb' Mo' is one of the foremost contemporary blues artists. With an endearing sense of faith in humanity evident on most of his tracks and a very interestingly textured voice, this man has successfully merged traditional Delta blues and modern acoustic singer-songwritership. While it's a stretch to call him a traditionalist, Keb' Mo' plays a mean guitar, and the meticulously played guitar on each one of his songs is awe-inspiring.
After spending his early career backing blues artists up, he released his debut album in 1994. He also appeared in Scorsese's film about the blues. As the only man to my knowlege that has incorporated the word "internet" into a blues song, it is clear that Keb' Mo' is unique and has, in an unprecedented manner, carved out his own genre that never fails to make the listener smile.

Tell me am I wrong, well, fallin' in love with you
While your other man was out there
Cheatin' and lyin', steppin' all over you
Look at you
Tell me am I wrong, holdin' on to you so tight
Tell me am I wrong, (get your groove on brother)holdin' on to you so tight
If your other man tries to claim you
He'd better be ready, ready for a long long fight
I gotta be strong, well I know you're dependin' on me
Yeah, yeah I gotta be strong, 'cause I know you're dependin' on me
To give you all of my attention
All of my time, and all of the love you need
What next?
Am I wrong, yeah yeah, tryin' to hold on to you (tryin' to hold on to you)
Tell me if I am wrong, yeah, tryin' to hold on to you
I just wanna make a home for you baby
And all of your children too
All of your children too
Tell me, tell me, tell me, am I fallin' in love with you
While your other man cheatin' and steppin' all over
Am I wrong, fallin' in love with you
While your other man was out there
Cheatin' and lyin', steppin' all over you
While your other man was out there
Cheatin' and lyin', steppin' all over you
The song "Am I Wrong" by Keb' Mo' is a smooth and soulful blues ballad that tells a story of a man who has fallen in love with a woman who has been mistreated by her unfaithful partner. The song questions whether he is wrong for wanting to be with her, despite the fact that she is already in a relationship. The lyrics convey the sincerity and devotion of the singer towards the woman he loves, and his desire to protect her from any harm.
The opening lines of the song ask the question, "Am I wrong, well, fallin' in love with you?" This question is repeated throughout the song, emphasizing the uncertainty that the singer has about his feelings for the woman. He then goes on to describe the other man's wrongdoing and his own desire to provide love, support and stability to her.
The chorus of the song talks about the singer holding on tight to the woman and being ready to fight for her against any potential threats from her unfaithful partner. The song ends with a final reiteration of the question, "Am I wrong, fallin' in love with you?" highlighting the singer's struggle and his uncertainty about whether or not his feelings are justified.
