Farrell, Keyboards, Synthesizers - A Rockford, Illinois USA native, K.C. grew up surrounded by classic, progressive rock influences, including Deep Purple, ELP, Guess Who, Grand Funk, Styx, Yes, Kansas, Boston and so many more.
During the late 80s, K.C. co-founded "Soundstorm", an instrumental, progressive rock band in California's Bay Area. This group received radio airplay and produced two CDs - 'Not Fooled by Words' and the self-titled 'Soundstorm'. K.C. eventually teamed-up with old high school friends to form "Justin Sayne". This five-piece setup was a brilliant bar band based in the Rockford area. Their solid combination of classic rock and originals won a battle of the bands, featured on a WTTW television event.
During the early 00's, KC was part of the Aurora band "PARADOX", blending classic rock and lots of great Southern rock. At the same time, he played in "Emerald Sea", a classic rock/currents band with an awesome female vocalist! Their setlist gave him the chance to showcase his chops with Grade A selections of The Who, Styx, Kansas 90s, REO Speedwagon and more.
After a good run with these projects, K.C. sat in with The Lounge Puppets, a popular suburban band embedded in 80s 'big hair' rock. K.C. quickly eased into their setlist of Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Night Ranger and other MTV bands. This band even opened for Quiet Riot at The Collesium in the far south suburbs! As time went on, K.C. felt a need for a much broader range of music. Enter "Higher Ground", another Rockford based project involved in top notch classic tunes of DOORS, Deep Purple, Santana, Allman Brothers, Boston and these guys won Rockford's highly-acclaimed RAMIE award for best classic rock band!
