Kids Alive
Kids Alive are a J-pop group that consists of Aihara Yuta (vocal), Yamamura Akihiro (bass) and Sagano Keiji (guitar), all originating from Hokkaido. They sent a demonstration tape to a record company (Motherland) in 2000, and their talents were noticed. As a result, Kids Alive debuted in February 2001 with a single entitled "Ame" or "Rain", the members being only mere 17 years old and were still in high school then. Some interesting things to note..
-At the contest where they made their first debut, the name they gave themselves was SEPIA. Because of their debut however, they realized that it wasn't the best name for them, and they ended up changing it to Kids Alive.
-Keiji and Akihiro were already in a band when they scouted Yuta at a school festival because Keiji's voice was maturing and could no longer handle higher notes. Yuta was still in middle school at this time while the other two were already in high school.
-Keiji writes most of the music and lyrics for the band. Yuta has written two songs while Akihiro one.
-Their first single was actually "New Dream," but this was debuted before they were signed under Motherland.

I'm so happy to see this is still up. I remember watching it and reading the manga so intently. I was obsessed with the game too and had a set of Go boards (one was magnetic one was really nice and wooden) and... I had no one except one other person to play with... Hnnn... The online Go world was not available to me in the west at the time. Kinda wanna pick it back up cause I remember being so in love with the game.

i get the same feeling when i watch most old shonen animes with usually consisted of 40 to 50 episodes. i cant pinpoint why and what but i get the same feeling when i watched idaten jump. that extreme nostalgia idk why but i love it.

Same for me, this anime gives goosebumps to my soul and spirit, Go is the most wonderful thing ever created by Humans, too bad its slowly being killed by AI, the essence of Go and its whole Purpose lays in the Heart of Human Beings, their Spirit and Soul, I long for a day when Go will be teached in School troughout the world, it would bring about a new Era of Human Conscioussness Evolution and World Peace, Much Love to everyone who took the time to read this message, With all my Respect,
