Mr. Jumbo) was born in city of Kaunas, which was known from soviet time as a city of rock music. The big start and inspiration to young child was harmonica, which was handed to him by his father, who was also musician in the past.
Not long after his elder brother bought electric guitar, and this new toy became Jumbo's biggest love. At that time he was not keen on metal or even rock, even if brother was constantly playing "Pyogenesis", "Metallica", "Slayer", "Sadist", "My dying bride", "Paradise Lost" records (which by the way where very difficult to get at those soviet times). However it left some marks in Jumbo's ears, and later on he has discovered his first idols - "Iron Maiden". At the same time his elderly brother noticed Jumbo's passion for six-stringed instrument, and for his eleventh birthday bought him acoustic guitar, which Jumbo traded for his first electric. Quickly he was playing way better than his brother, and with his yard mates founded first rock group. His friend Mindaugas started drumming, Julius took bass guitar, and circa year 1997 they started covering "Iron Maiden" and crafting their first songs. Jumbo used to spend so much time with a guitar, that his school marks looked way far behind promising good future. In the beggining of year 2000 the band had their first gig, which marked their productive and busy row of gigs. Crazy fifteen year olds where creating more and more their own songs, and most of them where made by Jumbo (who got this nickname due to his at that time short black curly hair a la Coco Jumbo). They have made hundreds of records, searching for their style, which was at that time close to gothic rock and heavy metal.
However in 2002 band realized that time came to made major changes. Band was renamed into "Linfend", Jumbo gave up singing, replaced in this duty by Karolis "Kafka" Bur˛inskas, and focused solely on guitar parts. On the same year Jumbo finished "Vyturys" secondary school, and without any preparations entered Vilnius Academy of Arts, speciality of graphic design, where on his second year was elected as student's president. "Linfeng" was very successfull at this period - won a lot of competitions, played lots of gigs even outside of Lithuania (e.g. represented Lithuania in rock/metal festival "European music meeting", which took place in Austria and Slovenia, they played on the same stage as Emil Bulls, Grave Benediction and others). In Autumn of 2005 Jumbo was invited to join best Lithuanian gothic band "XESS", with which Jumbo have presented their CD "Psychoholic bastard crew" and played lots of gigs with them. At the same time he started realising that his solo homerecordings are getting better and better feedback from surrounding people, and inspired by classical music together with power/heavy metal recorded his first solo CD. It happened so, that at the same time he got an offer to endorse Hamer guitars, which he accepted, becoming first Lithuanian player officially endorsing top guitar brand.
In the beggining of 2006 Jumbo gets unexpected call to join legendary hard rock band SBS (Spicy Bits of Scandal), which after long hesitations he accepted, and never felt pity. After month of rehearsals and songwriting his first appearance with the band was in the most famous lithuanian rock festival "Rock nights 2006", where he received lots of positive feedback. Same time SBS recorded and released their long overdue double CD+DVD "Born to win". At the moment Jumbo plans to do maximum possible gigs with his solo project lineup: Julius (bass), Dellamorte (guitar) and Seras (drums) and to present his set to as much as possible people.
