She formerly went by her real name Miyu Kumagawa (熊川みゆ) during her earlier stage of her singing career, before re-debuted with her new solo project Myuk in 2021.
On her website, her current stage name is derived from Swedish 'Mjuk' and her real name (Miyu Kumagawa).
She likes music since childhood, having participated in national singing competitions. Later, she has developed an interest with western music, which started her to make original songs with a smartphone app during her junior high school days. At the time, she also started live activity at her hometown in Kumamoto, gradually attracted attention. She later featured on TV and radio in Kumamoto, having first appeared as the opening act for Fuji TV sponsored "Mezamashi LIVE COUNTRY 2018 in YATSUSIRO".
In March 2020, she released her first mini album titled 'Phantasm'.
