In the summer of 2006 and early 2007, Nickenson Prud’Homme would announce that he was no longer a part of Zenglen due to creative and business issues regarding the manager and some members of the group. The breakup meant that Nickenson was finally going to concentrate more on his solo projects and collaborating with zouk artists such as Warren, Princess Lover, Leila Chicot, Milca, and Ali Angel.
In early 2007 when he announced that he was going solo, the public simply did not buy it. Although everyone recognized his talent, there was a consensus in the mind of music lovers that Nickenson Prud’Homme could not survive without Zenglen. A year later, he proved them all wrong. Today, Nickenson Prud’Homme is one the hottest Konpa/Zouk singers and producers around.
In early 2008, Prud’Homme did an interview with Haitian magazine website www.konpamagazine.com in which he stated that he would be working on a new group that he founded in Miami and is not revealing the name until next summer. Rumor has it that he will be premiering the new group at the 2008 Haitian Konpa Festival in Bayfront Park in North Miami Beach and will be performing with the new group along side his former band, Zenglen.

Jalou
Nickenson Prud'homme Lyrics
Pouki se ou
Mwen te renmen
Pouki se ou
Mwen adore
Pouki se ou
Mwen te renmen
Pouki se ou
Mwen adore
Ou konnen jan mwen jalou pouki wap fèm sa doudou
Ou vire tounen
Pa konn sa poum komanse
San ou mwen son kò san nanm
Yon boukan dife san flanm
San ou baby
Se tankou m pat egziste
Ou konnen map fou pou ou
M fe tout sa k sipoze
Pou prouve ou chak jou ou
Aprè ou pa gen de
Ou konnen tout mwen se ou
Avan m pat konn lamou
Men gade sa w fè
Se tankou devalize ti kè m
Pouki se ou
Mwen te renmen
Pouki se ou
Mwen adore
Pouki se ou
Mwen te renmen
Pouki se ou
Mwen adore
Ou konnen map fou pou ou
M fe tout sa k sipoze
Pou prouve ou chak jou ou
Aprè ou pa gen de
Ou konnen tout mwen se ou
Avan m pat konn lamou
Men gade sa w fè
Se tankou devalize ti kè m
Deklare m fè w la pèn
Pa t ka reponn ma peine
Menmsi w wè m map kriye
Lanmou mwen pa chanje
M pat jamm vle fè w la peine
M pat jan m vle brizè kè w
A koz ou m ap kriye
Lanmou mwen pa chanje
Pouki se ou
Mwen te renmen
Pouki se ou
Mwen adore
Pouki se ou
Mwen te renmen
Pouki se ou
Mwen adore
Deklare m fè w la pèn
Pa t ka reponn ma peine
Menmsi w wè m map kriye
Lanmou mwen pa chanje
M pat jamm vle fè w la peine
M pat jan m vle brizè kè w
A koz ou m ap kriye
Lanmou mwen pa chanje
Yo di Nicky jalou
Yo di Nicky jalou
Mwen jalou
Mwen jalou
Mwen damou
M fou fou

Ou gen dwa pou pa dakò jan mwen jalou eh eh
Ou gen dwa piu pa konprann jan mwen damou
Se karaktè m depi m damou
Mwen aji tankou yon moun ki fou
Se karaktè m depi m damou
