Startisan formed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a musical melting pot. Combining members from four of the most successful original bands in the state, they have become a fine-tuned Frankenstein of sonic ingenuity. Thoughtful, poetic lyrics are interwoven with sweeping guitar lines and aggressive percussion forming a compelling fusion of heart, soul and honesty (à la the singer/songwriter genre) with the force and power of a full-on rock band. The band’s immersive, infectious sound combined with an energetic and constantly evolving live performance makes Startisan a true marvel worthy of attention.

In "Just" by Startisan, the singer is sharing his determination to fulfill his big dreams while facing the challenges that arise. He's heard his calling and left behind whatever was holding him back. However, he's feeling exhausted from trying to keep his head above water. The lyrics suggest that he's invested a lot of time and effort into his ambitions and has come up with plenty of fail-safe plans to ensure his success.
The singer then addresses someone who doubts his ability to succeed. This person is hesitant to throw stones on a glass earth because they've put all their faith in hope. The singer counters this by saying that he's already drained his soul to keep himself going, and he's not giving up. Despite any setbacks, he's "hanging on" and determined to keep going. He's even willing to throw coins into a dream mine, hoping that they'll buy him the success he wants.
