Chieftain is a rank in a Tauren tribe. The Tauren are huge, bipedal creatures generally bovine in appearance. They're part of an alliance - the Horde, hence their song "The Power of the Horde" - between several races known to the Warcraft universe, namely the Darkspear Trolls, the Orcs, the Forsaken and the Blood Elves.
The band "Tenth Level Tauren Chieftain" is said to be the band of a friend of Samwise, art director of Blizzard Entertainment. Their song "The Power of the Horde" was used in "Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne" and can also be found in several custom games online.
