This time, warped Casiotones and an attention to sonic landscaping are brought to the forefront.
Notype describes the new EP: "The first Twombley Spiders album, And The Five Racoon Army, revealed a brighter, more poetic side of Eryk Salvaggio’s increasingly endearing musical endeavours. At any rate, it ended up being a sleeper hit, with 7000 downloads in less than a year. With this follow-up, well, let’s just say there’s everything we like about this project: lush ambiences with a subtle underside of grit, dreamy melodies that veer far away from too-sweet… Run-off-the-mill it clearly is not. But inspired? Hell yes."

The Notype Label describes "The Twombley Spiders and the Five Raccoon Army:"
"On this inaugural release, the Spiders play a deep, lush kind ambient-tinged IDM, and sometimes they sing on top of it. Great music for Sunday mornings and other such instances of lying on the futon and enjoying your time."

The Twombley Spiders is a side project of Eryk Salvaggio (also known as Infoslut, Matrix Assimilation and more). Salvaggio has previously collaborated on music with Books on Tape (as "Sluts on Tape") as well as creating remixes for Nick Zammuto of The Books and underground IDM artist Kalx. Outside of music, Salvaggio is also a founding member of the internet art movement, with work featured or mentioned in The New York Times and Artforum.
For "The Twombley Spiders and the Five Raccoon Army," Salvaggio teamed up with Katia Perdoni, aka Katey Sleeveless aka NewSoaringDog, who is also the co-founder of Peddling Records, a Minneapolis-based mail-order tape cassette label that also does delivery by bicycle.
