After moving to Los Angeles with nothing but $200 in studio equipment, Vaines released "Nobody Like You" in February 2018. The R&B inspired single sparked comparisons to The Weeknd, and Vaines has since followed up with "feelingdown", a guitar heavy track that establishes the musician's lyrical focus on overcoming internal pain.
