Seven seconds till the end. Time enough for you, perhaps. But what will you do with it? Let’s see…

Stuff Thangs

There's something to be said for what I think Sephiroth has planned....

Aerith dying is probably one of the most traumatic yet galvanizing events in video game history. Not only was her death completely from out of nowhere, heartbreaking, but also crucial for getting the group to fully unite to stop Sephiroth once and for all. Not to mention that advantage that Aerith had from w/i the planet to stop his plans from coming to fruition. Sephiroth's return in this alternate timeline amounts to the events of the last game leading to a stalemate w/ neither of them being able to destroy the other, hence why him and Aerith are aware of the alternate timelines.

It all makes Sephiroth's proposition during the final fight both enticing and dangerous. Red XIII already confirmed that the ending of the original was the darkest timeline, one where they failed. That combined w/ Cloud's visions of him seeing Aerith dead at the alter along w/ his flashes of how he felt at that moment might be the catalyst for accidentally helping Sephiroth w/ his plans. Aerith seems all but ready to die once she's left the city, but if Cloud saves her it could doom the planet even worse than last time.

I can't wait to see how this plays out, and how events from here on will change.

Probably my favorite track from the original. I remember telling people that I can’t wait to hear this in remake part 2 or 3 or whatever, then I heard this at the end. The game is already arguably my favorite game of all time, easily one of the best games I’ve played in years but damn hearing that just made the whole game for me even more

@Killua Zoldyck I agree, its by FAR the best Final Fantast we had for years, and imo FF7 Remake Part 1 is already one of my favorite Final Fantasy entries.

yep the remake is my fav too but i hate that its episodic like its only midgar which is 2-3 hours in the original

dude the remake may get 10 episodes which means 20 years of waiting

Same I literally went to the city to here this music.

This is the most successful extended version I’ve heard

Beardly Guy

Hey thanks! City of the Ancients was one of my favorite songs from the original, and the upbeat part of this track was so short I had to do something to it. Layering the beginning of the song later on added more depth to the track.

The demon tick88

“Careful now….that which lies ahead, does not yet exist. Our world will be come a part of it…one day, but I, will not end. Nor will I have you end”

Vegeta The goat

@S.KullRandom that’s how sephiroth proposes to his girl
