Fivers, as a veteran, I have a request for you all.

Many of you received a lot of help from older hunters, and it also happened to me back in the days. It really help us to grow and improve, it's like having a mentor who try to make us even better than him.

Please, dear fivers, when the 6th generation will arrive, teach them everything you know, show them how beautiful this world is, become the new mentor.

Yes, we veterans will probably still help, but it's clear that this world is changing, it's a new era that is shining in front of us. And you, my fellow hunters, are those who came to discover everything at this exact moment, this world has left a deeper mark on you than us, due to the fact that we already knew quite a bunch of things.

But we vets will become more rare at each new game that'll come out, and you see where i'm going.

You, my dear fivers, are the very first to discover this new era, you ARE the future veterans of this new world !

It'll be your job to raise new generations of hunters as the time goes. And one day, you will listen to some godly music like this one and think "damn, I remember when I discovered this franchise through World back in the day...what a journey". And I tell you, it'll feel awesome.

Soon, you will have to slay the archnemesis of your mentor, and of those who teached to your mentor how to hunt, you are the future of Monster Hunter.

May the Sapphire Star light your way, and may your hunts be glorious, my friends !

Music video idea :
0:00 - 0:20 : a little kid is helping his mother/father clean, there's a hunter badge hanging on the wall and little toy monsters, weapons and armor scattered around his room

0:20 - 0:45 : he hears the bells toll, signaling the arrival of the Hunters, and rushes out with his wooden greatsword, against his parent's wishes, to go see them

0:45 - 1:15 : he finally gets to the street, and sneaks to the front of the "audience" and sees the Master Hunter, donning a bright, All Might-esque smile on his face, and is absolutely starstruck, until the Master Hunter looks directly at him and gives him a nod and a thumbs up

1:15 - 1:43 : the shot cuts to our main character, more grown up now, standing in formation with other hunter apprentices, before their trainer, the Master Hunter. The Hunter, arms crossed and chin high, still wearing that smile, recognizes him and decides to train him personally. Cue the training montage where the kid gets w o r k e d

1:43 - 2:16 : Finally on their first real hunt, while trying to find their target, they're ambushed by a Lunastra with a broken horn. She hurls flames at the boy, but the Master Hunter jumps in at the last second, blocking the flames with his shield. The boy looks at the Hunter, still with that huge smile of his, and immediately understands. He climbs up some vines, and drops down on the Lunastra with his greatsword, breaking her other horn and killing her. He runs to his master, lying on the ground, his shield melted into his armor, taking quick painful breaths.

2:16 - 2:29 : The kid, with tears in his eyes, holds his master in his arms, who is still trying to hold his smile together, telling him "there's no use crying now kid"

2:29 - 2:48 : the Master hands the kid his hunter badge and tells him he better not let let his legacy die with him, while giving him the thumbs up

2:48 - 3:16 : the kid wipes his tears, takes the badge, takes the Lunastra's horn as proof, and bring his master with him back to camp

3:16 - 3:20 : there, a funeral is held for the Hunter, and the kid vows to become the next Master Hunter

3:20 - 3:34 : montage of the kid defeating multiple monsters including other elder dragons, with a bigger smile each hunt

3:34 - 4:17 : he is crowned Master Hunter, receives his own Master Hunter armor and badge

4:17 - 4:37 : the new Master Hunter stands in front of his apprentices, arms crossed and chin high, wearing his master's smile

So, the next generation of hunters arised and now its time to leave them the task of fighting the new monsters.

It was nice and fun fighting along side all of you, hunters of the old world, but now these youngsters must take our place and learn everthing that we did all of those years ago.

Having a job is such a time consuming task, and, sadly, I don't have enough time to play this games anymore.

Let's hope that this new hunters have the best time that they can in our world.... the wonderfull world that is Monster Hunter.

2nd fleet out, let's return to home my dear palico, our task here is done.

Kroko-Die

Since everyone is telling their stories:
This was the first game I ever bought on steam. It was a christmas morning on 2018. I heard about this game back on late 2017, but didn't pay much attention until around mid 2018. I finished the main story in about a month, so it was time for me to look for help and help others. I went on twitch and met a bunch of amazing people, which introduced me to even more amazing people, but after a few months, as any other game, I got bored... until one day

Discord ping

Friend: Hey you play Monster Hunter, right?
Me: Yeah I still have it installed, why do you ask?
Friend: Oh I'm stuck at Anjanath. I've been fighting him with my dual blades for a few days but can't seem to do anything. Do you have time to help?

He reminded me of myself. I, as many other fivers I'm sure, had a tough time against Anjanath. We played for a while. I helped him and another friend beat the entirety of Low Rank by my side, and before I knew it, they were carving elder dragons left and right. It reminded me of what this game is about: Helping others in times of need.

This game is amazing. It's my favorite game of all time, next to Bloodborne, and now that I'm in the final asignment in Iceborne, I'm still waiting for my friends to buy this amazing (and controversial) piece of art. This game introduced me to the world of melee combat games and many wonderful people. I'll make sure to give it a final farewell and keep it in my memories until I grow old.

Happy Hunting!

God, I'm reading through the comments and they're all making me tear up.

I never managed to beat World, and beating Stories 2 was still a bit recent

I'm so glad that this community is so supportive. It doesn't matter when you start your hunting journey, and it doesn't matter when your journey ends.

Because you are, and always will be, a fellow Hunter. And if not that, you're a Rider. And we can already tell that Hunters and Riders can get along.

Veterans, Fifth Fleeters, Riders, everyone. Despite not knowing much, I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. Even if Monster Hunter dies, the community will live on, even if it's just in all our hearts.

Never stop fighting. Keep going for your goal, no matter what it may be.

And may the Sapphire Star light your way.

One day many years from now I’m going to dust of my ps4
Get my disc
And play this game one final time
This game it holds a place in my heart
Anjanath and nergigante I hope they both return in future titles
Those two made me truly fall in love with the game
They were truly the best monsters capcom made for the game, they idealised everything in the game in terms of mechanics and their fights are so perfect it’s as if capcom worked endlessly to make their fights perfect and it paid off in my opinion.
Every time I get one of my friends who has never played any game in the series to play this one.
All I hear is this
The genius that went behind this game, all the features that we never use,
If your playing this game for the first time never just go unga Bunga
Every monsters has design features that you can use.
You just need to find them, never look up guides to fight monsters.
To quote the game itself “this is the new world, use everything to your advantage”

Happy hunting

Drek Grimm

@Saturn Ringer ikr, it began so well, with lots of new monsters while keeping some of the most representative of the franchise (not you, lavasioth), but then they began to listen to players tantrum and now this New World is filled with monsters from the Old World, which is a complete betrayal considering their initial promise.

This game is amazing, but it doesn't fill its promises of a completely new experience.

Sure, seeing zinogre in HD is cool, but it still mostly use the same moves as before, no challenge for veterans.

Alatreon was a surprise tho, and my first black dragon, so I might not be totally objective here. It was an example of returning monsters done good, more fluid than before, more versatile and a attack that actually make him looks like a god. So, yes, returning some old monsters can be beneficial...but not THAT many old monsters !

God dammit we fought the natural predator of elder dragons, a new being made of energy, an angrier elders eater, a rock demon that looks directly at the player, a mature form of the most cataclysmic threat of the MH universe and an actual ice elder dragon...just to end up fighting an old classical fire-breathing dragon in the old world, over-hyped only because it destroyed a city (a teostra can do it lmao) ? Damn it, Capcom !

Average Fiver

Hey 5th fleet here!!!
Honestly i was just wondering through YouTube as a 12 year old when this video got recommended to me the was called: All turf wars in monster hunter world: iceborne and I watched it over and over again...

And from that moment I knew what I had to do
Honestly being a 13 year old who beaten furious Rajang and raging brachydios feels amazing and I’m not stopping till I slay fatalis
Being for Argentina limits my ability to help other hunters do I’m asking for everyone who can access new hunters in trouble to do their best to help them
Thank you veterans of the old world for all you’ve done for the fifth fleet
And know that without you this series wouldn’t exist but nothing lasts forever and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fleet are starting to move on
It’s our turn to be the ones who guide we all have to make an effort to keep this series alive and show it to new hunters who didn’t know this was their favorite game all along...
Let the sapphire star guide you for the rest of your lives!!!

Komi-Sama Believer

I remember vividly all of those journey I have with this series.

As first gen hunter, I remember the struggle of older hunters had. Analog sticks for attacks, 7 weapon types only, no village farm, rough hitboxes, Forest and Hills Area 9, Rathalos clipping out of map boundaries, Handle With Care, among other things. It was tough, but made better and better with experience and subsequent titles.

I've played most of older one (OG PS2, Dos, Freedom/Unite, P3rd) and enjoy every single one of them, but unfortunately forced to retire when MH4 came out due to lacks of 3DS and every installment after. I wish I could join my fellow hunters in the 5th gen but even then I'm unable to...

As a hunter who's still want to hunt, its really painful to be left behind, but my life currently is hard and I can't be selfish with money when my family is barely make it each month.

What wouldn't I give for one last hunt with fellow hunters, both old and young in the newer world...

Komi-Sama Believer

@Hitler in Disguise haha thanks, just the fact that you read and reply to my comment is surprisingly made me happy.

While I can't outright brought newer console and MHW/R, I do saved up some money to buy myself a good enough phone to emulate Citra, the least I could is play the older 3DS game.

I do want the real 3DS, but it'll be wiser for me to upgrade my old phone and play MH4/GU through emulator instead of buy just an console, and yes I do feel bad for the devs for doing "that" and there's no excuse for it.

I just really want to restart from the bottom and make my journey to G Rank once more, even if its just for one last time...

But anyway I hoped that you'll continue to have fun with MH, whether you're young or old hunter. I hope I can catch up to you guys someday.

Once again, thank you for reading my comments among many others here.

Man, this community of hunters really is the best in the world!!!

I love how the music has progressed and it changes as you "change the world" in the game

All you can think of is "We made it, hurray fifth fleet!"
Absolutely amazing music, beautiful, memorable and not just a simple "wow so amazing, wow so cool" It's actually extremely breathtaking

World was my first game and I play Rise now. I keep the guild card title "sapphire" or "star" in Rise to always remember where I started. When I hit HR 500 was when I went out of my way to help low rank players and still going to as I wait for Sunbreak.
