@A'Riel The Great That's my biggest issue - not a mention of her at all here -_- Go look her up if you haven't already. She was on the rise after 'Someone That I Used To Know' broke the planet and her first album and music videos were received very positively (check Settle Down, Cameo Lover, Good Intent) and then...Lorde also came out of New Zealand and broke the world in a different way.
Still Kimbra's been pretty active, released 2 albums since then, does stuff for Patreon. John was suppose to be on her "Nobody But You" track from the second album but that fell through. She has strong vocals but likes to experiment. First album is much more pop vibes while her second is crazy experimental - I feel like she was ahead of the game with using throwback vibes from the 60s through the 90s. Her third album is like a marriage of the first two -- it's my favorite.
Go check her out. Listen to everything too - if there is a song or two that throws you off, it's okay because she just changes in another direction!
