Many of her songs have been for games by the game company Nitro+ (ニトロプラス), including the Demonbane series, Jingai Makyo, Saya no Uta, Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate and Togainu no Chi. She is also widely known for works used in the visual novel series Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. One of her notable songs in recent non-Nitro Plus games was "Kanashimi no Mukō e" (悲しみの向こうへ), the "bad end" ending theme to the visual novel School Days. Itō has also sung songs for a drama CD and anime adaptations of School Days. Recently, she has been singing more songs for anime, such as BLASSREITER and Hatenkō Yūgi.

"However, if she is asked to appear at an event by MAGES. (e.g. a concert), she will likely do so." According to that article, it's not like she's completely disconnected herself. I don't think it's impossible that she'd appear in another theme song, especially if it's Steins;Gate related. It's what she's known most for.
However, if she truly can't, Ayane's OPs for Linear Phenogram were fire. I wouldn't mind one of those.
