A boost in their popularity came in 2008, when their label gave them the opportunity to record the opening music for the popular Toei Animation series about Japanese folklore, GeGeGe No Kitaro. Being big fans of the earlier incarnations of the series, the band members accepted the offer, and shortly after they released the song as a single named the same as the series itself. Having recently released their third full album, ザ50回転ズ are building an extensive discography at a steady pace.

These lyrics are from the song "Minato no Blues" (港のブルース) by ザ50回転ズ. The song talks about a personal experience where the singer feels a strong emotional connection with someone, and from that moment, they can hear the blues. The phrase "ビリビリするぜ" (biribiri suru ze) can be translated as "it sends chills down my spine" or "it electrifies me," indicating the intense emotions felt when encountering this person for the first time.
The lyrics further express that even when they start talking to this person, the blues still resonate in their ears. The singer associates the blues with this individual, suggesting that there is something inherently melancholic or emotionally complex about their presence. The repetition of "ヒュルヒュルヒュルル" (hyuruhuruhururu) mimics the sound of the wind blowing, reinforcing the atmosphere and the emotions surrounding this encounter.
The song also mentions the rumors floating around the harbor, possibly suggesting that the singer and the person they encountered both come from a place connected to the harbor. The imagery of the wind and gunshots in the harbor intermingling with the blues indicates a juxtaposition of danger and emotional resonance.
Overall, "港のブルース" (Minato no Blues) portrays the intense emotions and connections that can arise from fleeting encounters, where the singer feels a distinct harmony between the blues and their experience with this person.
