Miyano began his career as a musician in 2007. Under the King Records label he released his debut single, "Kuon" (久遠, lit. Eternity), in May. In March 2009, his debut album BREAK was released. Miyano was married in late 2008. He and his wife are now parents to a boy .

The song "Nocturne" by Mamoru Miyano speaks of a person's longing for someone who is not present. The first stanza talks about how one can see the moon and the stars but cannot see the person they are longing for. The singer of the song yearns for someone to be with him on this night when he is filled with emotions that seem to pile up. He hopes that he will be able to laugh with this person again soon.
The second stanza speaks about imagining a future that has slipped through one's fingers. The singer regrets not being able to hold the hand of the person he was with on that day, and he wonders where his heart is headed when he is in the middle of wanting a reply and not wishing to break anything. His heart cannot reach anywhere because it is in turmoil.
The bridge of the song is about how the singer is overcome with a sense of preciousness that brings him to tears even though the moonlight is falling so indigo. The wind goes there, to where the person he is yearning for is, and they are covered by the same night, but time only tests his feelings. The memory in his heart keeps bubbling over, and the pain he feels only increases. But if he had never met this person, he would not have known this pain.
In the end, he wishes for the person he is longing for to not get lost and to remain warm, even if the moon and stars go to sleep and the deep darkness fills the world. He wants to hold on to his one wish and keep it in his heart until the day he can meet that special someone again.
