I dropped the piano three years ago because of a veritable cocktail of problems - depression, illness, death in the family. Playing it stopped bringing me joy. Music lost its soul. The more I tried to reconnect, the further out of my grasp it slipped. I didn't go the route Kousei did - PTSD and literally being unable to hear my own playing - but I stopped being able to connect notes into music, and I couldn't feel the emotion behind it anymore. My playing died, and I stopped playing.

After years of refusing to go anywhere near anime, I finally saw enough fan art in the background of other videos (mostly chill music) to ask my friend what the pictures were of - the glassy lake with its piano under a cherry tree blossoming by its lonesome intrigued me. She directed me to Your Lie in April; apprehensive, I watched the first episode and immediately fell in love. The past week or so, I've been trying hard to reconnect with music, as it's the truest form of expression I know.

Thank you for uploading this aural beauty. It's reminded me once again what I'm playing for.

I'm sorry for sharing. I have nowhere else to write this.

Galdiator was okay. Angel Beats! was fun and it had a few episodes of sadness when the stories of their past were shown and the one with Yui and the ending one. As for Your Lie in April ..that one killed me ..a few days after finishing it i was still recovering from the sadness i felt when the story ended the way it ended. I experienced Your lie in April during a difficult time in my life. I was tired of picking up the pieces of all of my broken friendships. I pushed them all away, so why would I deserve another friend? Kayori and Arima's story was a firm reminder that even when you've lost who you used to love and still love the most, life goes on. It takes enormous amounts of time, willingness to look at life from another perspective, and most importantly, to hurt and be hurt again. Life's full of pain, and it's not fair, but it's all you have. Today is all I have to pick up the pieces and try to create a masterpiece with. I was lost for quite literally months on end, and I nearly gave up on myself, but I was fortunate enough to find this artwork of an anime, and with it, I started to pickup the pieces again, only this time with my loved ones by my side. This song reminds me of summer time of 2020 I just found noob3 and binged all of his videos that summer, and playing old dbd at its prime! What a fun time!

Ya know this is truly the best anime ever made, because its not just all action like most of the others are, it played kaori's death so well because the actual death scene wasn't what made me sad, it was how they made you like her character so much that you don't want her to die. And that was exactly my reaction, I have a knack for knowing who's going to die on a film or TV show and I could tell she was going to die by how she was emphasised and presented, ever since she was first introduced, and I really didn't her to. Very few animes have that ability to make you care about a character that much, I watched a lot of other animes and the characters' deaths didn't make me feel much as they weren't developed enough for you to care, but they made you care about her, and with the amazing soundtrack it helps it convey the sadness better
