Her prior education includes attending the University of Kobe. Her interest in music dates back to playing piano at an early age. Tanioka's first big compositions were used for 2001's Final Fantasy XI (Online). Alongside Nobuo Uematsu (植松伸夫) and Naoshi Mizuta (水田直志), she became a member of the composer group The Star Onions. Later, she was asked to compose all the scores for 2003's Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

Koji Kondo did not write this!!!
He had little to no involvement in Wind Waker’s soundtrack. This was written by Hajime Wakai. (Who, incidentally, also wrote the Molduga boss music for Breath of the Wild)
